Server Disconnects and DW2 Participation

Fellow DW2 participants

As an Xbox player - I signed up a couple of months ago to Distant Worlds Two and have been really looking forward to participating. However, I'm one of the unlucky ones who has been affected with frequent 'adjudication server' disconnects since the 3.3 update. I've a ticket in with FD Support - but their response is to 'deny everything, admit to nothing and blame the players broadband'. As such, I doubt my issue will be resolved before you all set off on your journey.

So unfortunately I won't be joining you - it's certainly not because I don't want to, it's because it would take me forever to jump even 1000ly and you'd all be back home before I even arrived!

But... I'll keep trying as there's always hope...

Misery loves company.

You're not a lone. Everyone's been experiencing these disconnects. Sunday night I was invited to wing up with someone to do fetch missions.

I have NEVER experienced so many disconnects in one sitting until last night. Today is the first full week of business after the typical two-week shut down for the holidays. I'm seriously hoping FD puts this disconnect situation on the top of the list of things to do starting today.

Stay optimistic. The great thing about DW2 is that it's the journey, not the destination, that matters. We will be meeting up on the weekends for the next 6-8 months, and there's no reason you can't catch up to wherever we're at once your issues get sorted. Throwing in the towel 6 months early isn't necessary.

Additionally: no idea if this option exists on xbox or if it does, if this will help you or not, but from the main menu, go into network options and enable IPV6 if you haven't already, doing so fixed 90% of the issues I was having.

But, but...Support says there's no problem. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...erver-issues?p=7315225&viewfull=1#post7315225

Why are so many people complaining about something that isn't a problem? Across all platforms and Operating Systems. Everyone should just calm down and believe FD, not your eyes.

I am sure Frontier are working hard to fix the disconnect issues and the freezing problems so whilst your journey might be a bit rocky at the start, I am sure it will be sorted and you will be able to enjoy the journey.

Frontier are evidently working hard to deny that it's happening.

It doesn't work like that. Brett isn't a dev. The devs are in the support forum and are denying that it's a problem. Brett is a forum manager. He's here to enforce the forum rules and calm the user base down.

The devs listen to QA. QA filter out our posts and bring those they deem important to the devs.

Read this actual dev post. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...te-on-the-server-issues?p=7315225#post7315225

They're asking for tickets because they don't see the problem.

Read this one. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...on-PC-since-3-3-dropped?p=7293627#post7293627

Again, asking for tickets because the problem is only on the PS4. Any other platform should submit a ticket.

Here's another one. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/470582-game-crashing?p=7322787&viewfull=1#post7322787

Saying to submit a ticket. The devs don't see the problem.

Consider that the OP submitted a ticket, only to have FD deny the problem. Can you see what's going on here?
