Does anyone find it suspicious there has been no patches since the upgrade?

I mean FDev are back at the anvil but nothing seems to be happening plus frontiers Bray is coming soon and they say they are celebrating all through January but I have seen but one live stream.

Is it just me or does it seem like they are about to reveal something extraordinary?

Might just be my paranoid brain , it wouldn't surprise me.

There has been 3.3.01.

Personally I expect 3.3.02 next week... they just returned from their holidays this week and it probably takes more than a few days to fix all the most serious bugs.

Slightly increased heat gain to compensate


Mining

Changed new mineable commodity from 'Opal' to 'Void Opals'


Server Fixes

Fixed a number of adjudication and matchmaking server crashes
Fixed a number of transaction server performance and reliability issues
Fixed a cause of transaction server errors when selling exploration data
Retuned the balance of smuggling, crime, missions and selling exploration data with the faction simulation
Fixed a number of performance issues when processing the faction simulation
Fixed a server error with console players authenticating with the Companion API
Stop displaying first discovery names on the system map for star systems with that as their default discovery level, first mapping names should remain.
Server-side changes to recover more quickly from chat server failures


VR

Fixed hardlock that could occur when entering the Notable Stellar Phenomena
Corrected a visual mismatch between the left and right displays when probing planets
Fixed missing scan effects in the FSS mode when using a Vive HMD

Xmas dude. If it's anything like my work, there will be a development freeze for a few weeks over the holidays.

They just did a server-side patch on thursday.
Fixed most of the CZ-Problems.
I also didn't have a single dissconect since then, and I sometimes had 50 on a single evening before. Might be wishfull thinking, we'll see..

They did, many issues can be fixed server side, they only need to update the client for more complex or major changes

There were no problems over the holidays.

It's not almost two weeks since New Years.

There are not other new internal projects going on inside the company.

It's all the user's fault anyway. :)

Frustratingly, I'm now locked out of the game, presumably due to server issues (insta-crash as soon as I select a game mode), but I'm going to guess that this is down to the behind the scenes fiddling to try and fix issues. Before getting this issue I was constantly getting communication server disconnets and 60 second supercruise transitions so if it's a bit of pain now for a fix later, that's something I'm happy to live with.

If I made a release so full of bugs, rode off on my holidays and left the player base to fend for themselves, then yes, I'd be keeping the head down too!

I'm sure there some new marketing lies incoming 'soon'! Not to mention a few paid/unpaid shills to tell us how awesome it all will be in a few years, or so.

It certainly is interesting and quite probable, if not a dilemma for Frontier. If FDev are going to reveal the "new era" at the end of the month, it would likely take the form of a video similar to the one when Horizons was announced, but will be tricky, as you need a balance between not wanting to "fake" too much in the reveal vs. showing that there is tangible progress on say one of the 2 "headline features" everyone is looking forward to. If it is one or both of the headline features I can't see anything except a multi-phase roll-out of either, which I'm sure will cause salt, because some will "want it all and want it now".

Myself, having discovered that multi-crew and wings in VR is great fun, will be doing that whilst we wait for whatever is coming and not fretting about it too much.

They could announce an announcement but that makes people as angry as getting specifics, teasers or hints. They're on a sticky wicket telling us anything due to the inevitable toxicity.

Easier to say nothing.
