Going against your own word - "infiltrators" please note

True, it is just a game. However as with all games break the rules and people may decide not to play with you and you may not be allowed to take part in it anymore.

This is where we see a very uniquely Elite problem. Short of playing solo trying to choose to play without someone is nearly impossible. Blocking a player doesn’t actually block them, merely reduces the likelihood of instancing with them. You go to a private group, they pull stunts like this. So unless you’re a network engineer with a router capable of L2 and L3 filtering, you really don’t have much of a choice.

While I understand the efforts made, this is an inherent weakness of Elite.

All the moralizing in the world won’t stop a dedicated agent.

Dedicated agent? For infiltrating Möbius? Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! You are funny! I guess you don't intend to be, but you absolutely are! Next thing you tell us is that it requires skill and cunning to join Möbius! :p

And has your lifetime been expanded?

Yesterday was debatable with the DW2 launch (Black Screen of Death) but today it has expanded a little further.

And thinkin' about it a little deeper I suppose it has expanded ever since I purchased the damn thing so HELL YEAH, what an investment!

It’s dog eat dog, my friend. Ain’t nothing wrong with accepting that and preparing accordingly.

I think this is sensible, especially if you mean in the that members of the fleet actually have competent protection services on hand to put up a decent fight if the need arises.

Blocking is very effective, that's why people make a fuss when it doesn't work its really unusual. Between mode choice, PG's booting people, block and PVP being voluntary anyway what with high wake being so easy its a non-issue.

and reneging on your agreement is not an acceptable act for the person to perform.

Well like thats just your opinion.. man.

Frontier has no rules against it so it cant be that unacceptable in there eyes.

It does incorage me to go attack the distant world expedition though lol i like a little salt on my popcorn

I personally don't engage in that kind of play myself, as I've always followed the rules of any group that I've ever been in. Open equals anything goes>PG equals abide by their rules. Still, the reactions of people who have been ganked in PG can often be priceless.

True, but no funnier than the reaction you can get doing PSA's about blocking them.

No business would do that. I completely see what you are saying and in an ideal world...but...

Businesses are in business to make money. Expecting anything else is unreasonable. I know of no game that wouldn't allow a banned player to buy a completely brand new account and have another chance based on that. Money is money.

For certain offences Sony and Microsoft Ban not just the User Account but the console itself from accessing their service, so not just one, but all your online games and the console itself becomes tainted making resale problematic.

But how can you prevent the aquisition of new hardware and accounts by people who are happy to lie & cheat ?

You know ED doesnt work that way. Four pvp corvettes cant prevent one griefer squashing an asp and jumping away. The power imbalance between pvp and pve exploration is just out of whack.

Yup. That’s part of it. Big part too is thinking ahead and planning for possible situations. Take yesterday - instead of everyone jumping from one Low Sec system perhaps pick a High Sec one. Sol, Lave, any of the big, cool ones.

Or, better yet, have everyone jump from their home systems. Encourage any meet ups to remain small and personable. That would’ve really spread the targets, wouldn’t it?

We’re way past assuming the best of our fellow Commander. Time to grow up and take responsibility for your safety and those under your care.
