PvP PvP Question.

This is more a thought experiment rather than an actual suggestion. Focus on the scenario rather than the mechanics involved (assume that everything is working as mentioned)

If a player, that is not in a PP faction, or in the same faction, does not have a bounty, or wanted status in the current system, is killed, with damage caused by another player ship, and the ship (and any other ships that were part of a wing at any point during the combat) caused at least half of the damage, and the player was not the instigator, and also did not cause at least half damage to any ship attacking it, then the attacking ship (and the rest of the wing) would also be instantly destroyed (Pilot Feds being all-powerful).

​Would this cause the end of Elite Dangerous due to lack of players?

So basicly you are asking if you are fighting a NPC, and a player finishes you off and you die, that player and his wing should die too?

If it is that doesn't even remotely make any sense. If it was implemented, It would be the nail in the coffin for pvp I think.

Were you attacked in a Conflict Zone by a player?

No no, not at all. The question is aimed towards players who attack other players for reasons unrelated to the game mechanics - such as bounties or PP.

Obviously if both parties are attacking each other, they'll inflict some damage, and therefore both parties are happy to engage, this does not count.

Not sure why this has been moved here, I'm not discussing actual PvP... especially as the DW2 thread is still ongoing. oh well.
 
Ouch... could we have a feature where a successful piracy attempt gives us double cargo? I.e. trader drops 20t but we may collect 40t *yummy*
