Right of passage suggestions for Elite Dangerous

It’s been about a year since I’ve played ED. Used to play on the Xbox One, but I decided to pick it up again on the PS4.

I am currently doing the Hutton Orbital mug run, and was wondering if there was any other “Right of passage” so to speak, things I should do in the game.

Docking a Sidewinder FA off. Or anything really. It's a good start into advanced piloting. :D

I hate docking lol. I watch people on videos, that dock like it’s nothing. I’m screwed without my docking computer!

Really. Uninstall that thing and just pretend it never existed. It's like that with many things in Elite because you can do so many things with your ship. It's a bit like learning to ride a bike or learn an instrument. At first you really don't know how that could ever work, then muscle memory and experience will just do that for you.

For me that is one of the greatest things about the game.

Landing or taking off from a high-G planet alive is an interesting experience as well, especially in larger ships.

Scanning a planet below the efficiency bonus target can be an early goal.

If you haven't used a neutron-boost yet, that can be fun as well. I would stay away from white dwarfs though.

No particular order. All are/where in or close to the bubble except SagA*

Land on Betelgeuse 2
Ride the gravity well on Achenar 3
Visit SagA* (visit one of the neutron fields enroute) https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/163816-The-Neutron-Fields-A-Definitive-Guide
visit 'Mitterand Hollow'

Unfortunately many of the Galaxy's wonders have vanished now, my favourite was the Junga crater. Mind blowing in VR, was still an awesome sight on regular screen.

I think I will do that. I’m so in love with this game. I’m surprised I took almost a year off from playing it, but personal life got in the way.
