Can be a little abrupt ! e.g.. coming into a nice planet on the sunny side.... bright and clear ...hit the glide ... and ..BAM..can't see a thing.
I know changing the effects setting removes the fog in stations, no idea if it helps in the rings. I did try the volumetric setting to see how it changed the rings and it didnt seem to affect it?
Data from the Cassini space probe indicate that the rings of Saturn possess their own atmosphere, independent of that of the planet itself. The atmosphere is composed of molecular oxygen gas (O[SUB]2[/SUB]) produced when ultraviolet light from the Sun interacts with water ice in the rings. Chemical reactions between water molecule fragments and further ultraviolet stimulation create and eject, among other things, O[SUB]2[/SUB]
