Me after traveling to the first wp for DW2.

Lesson learned, I need to slow it down. Honestly I was a little scared to hit the view, but I did stop by the pois along the way. Now that I'm here though, without the cg starting, there isn't much to do. All the missions are donate, there's almost no mineral demand. Counting down til the 17th, for anyone else on the way, take your time!

Wow, those hairdos! :D

Are they Centauri spies emissaries on an infiltration diplomatic mission on Earth?

We are going sideways and up, off the beaten track. We are doing 1000LYs a session with 2 breaks for exploration. It is not boring at all :)

I know exactly what you mean. I felt motivated last night just to "get there". I'm saving most of my exploration motivation for later on. Did a little bit of scanning on the way but didn't find anything overly exciting. So then I'm in the station ... umm... now what? But I have all my mining gear in transit already so I'll feel better rigging up for the CG with plenty of time to spare. It's pricey shipping stuff way out there. Glad I spent the last few weeks busting up a whole mess of void opals!

aye my mining gear is on the way, fyi for anyone doing the same, it takes around a day to get your modules shipped

Im arriving at Omega Wednesday after some nice exploring... thinking of finding some nice canyons to drive through for a few hours in the nearby Supercluster on wednesday before the cg starts.

When is the meetup supposed to be, I kinda went meandering off somewhere else.
Ah, nm, I see the site has been updated.

Quick note for you all, it takes modules about 15.5h to ship from The Bubble to Omega.

If you plan on starting in on the CG asap I would make sure you have arrived in Omega no later than 16:00 UTC Wed.

The expedition doesn't begin until we've passed Sag A.

You after 6 months of being out on DWE2, knowing another 6 months are ahead of you:

Indeed!

I wrote down some recent thoughts on space madness:

OP, I think you are in the phase of "Look at me go!". Keep it up, Cmdr. Voorheez's phase of "This is madness! What in the stretched out heavens have I gotten myself into?!" will come at some point. Probably the point where you think, "The galaxy map is a lie!" because Sag A* - BP is actually a lot farther flying than Sol - Sag A*.

Must admit I got there early Tuesday evening. Transferred my mining modules over, be fun in an Asp. Now kicking my heals waiting for the CG so taking a tour in economic mode of the 2Mass stars close by. While popping down to look at Bark Mounds some of the planets they are on are really beautiful.

Enjoying DW2 going to be a great adventure such lovely sights to see. What a game.
