The discord fleetcomm #accessrequests

So I'm a little late to the party but would still like to catch up. I have access to the fleetcomm discord, but I get this message: "you do not have permission to send messages in this channel." Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm just looking to play with real people for the first time.
Also, I did register with the roster but I'd like to update my jump range and I'm not sure how to do that. My cmdr is named dues 2 and my number is 8719. I'd also like to join a squadron for this trip.

The admins of the fleetcomm discord shut it down to keep boogeymen out.

They essentially are watching from atop the walls, whilst the wolves tear you to pieces down below.

Which channel are you trying to use? There are many of them and not all of them are open by default. Are you seeing this in #fleetcomm-general?

Or maybe they've done their bit and its time for them to - you know - put the admin work away and actually play the game? Processing 10k applications and all that.. think about it. Its not mandatory to be in Fleet Com for dw2 anyway.. so.

Biot: no, I don't see anything except the one channel saying I don't have access. It's just saying I don't have access to view or send messages. I did get an invite to the discord but I accepted it before I installed discord on my new SSD (yeah I know, crazy reinstalling everything on a fresh copy of windows on a new drive).
But yeah, I don't see any channels. I only see people on the right panel.

Hmm not sure then, sorry. Did you see Qohen's reply? Did you do this recently, if so there might be a bit of a backlog. What happens when you click on https://discord.gg/rt9T9AA (it's the FC invite link)

Yeah I saw Qohens' reply. I guess my invite expired. I'll try in discord to get someone to invite me. I also tried to use his signature link to amend my roster info. It also gives me problems telling me I need to have email default bla bla. Fresh installs are usually like this. I never have a default email client tho I just use gmail from explorer.

Yeah, I followed the link that biot suggests below, but same as you I dont have access to "do anything".

Haven't registered for a new channel in ages so cant remember if I should expect to see anything more at this stage, or if I missed a step somewhere.

Perhaps per Qohen I just need to wait a while.

Ah well Ephraim, I guess I'll wait too, gonna start heading to Omega sector. Maybe I'll meet up with a group there. GL to you too.

You can simply copy the URL and write from Gmail directly. Or send me a forum PM.
