No, FD, Just No!

Please stop trolling me! I beg thee!

Just took 3 surface scan missions, and all 3 where at the furthest possible landable planet from the entry star.

The first two, not so bad, a few thousand light seconds. Tis fine.
Although one base was in the side of a very tough cliff with nowhere to land!
Had to drive 6km... Lol

But the last one was 0.14 LIGHT YEARS.

NO, FD! NAUGHTY!

:p

I need to start blacklisting these huuuge systems so when I take missions it just says "NOPE" on the bookmark when I open the system map. Lol

Doesn't it tell you where it will take place in the mission description, then you can look at the galaxy/system map before taking it. That is what I always do.

Well, stop picking the best paying ones then. :p

Doesn't the mission summary tell you about the distance for that kind of mission?

Nah, no relationship for this kind of mission. And the destination isn't stated (or known) by the mission at the time of accepting it. All elite planetary scans are 3.1 to 3.4m

Second screens are the best.
Point your ship at your destination, throttle to max, switch to second screen, put on a movie, pick up your coffee, legs on the desk and relax. :D

More trolling.

211,000ls to a surface scan.

I get there, and the search zone moves by 3,000km!

No, FD! Lol

Someone in your company is a sadist! Lol

And another one just moved 150km, just as I started glide, at 45km altitude. Lol

They are not limited to just the 'one' sadist.

I would say that in your case; that it is probably personal. A light comes on, on some F.D. minions screen; as you log-in and there after, all of your missions are 'adjusted' accordingly.

Seriously, if you need to step away from game for an hour and claim it's legit "gameplay" then there;s something really messed up (to not to use the F word here).

At the moment we could listen to some history stuff on the Codex, that's always pleasant.
But getting up from your cockpit chair and being able to walk around your ship is a good start; even better would be to have things to do on the ship based on the modules you have installed; eg: if you have a science lab, perhaps you could spend your time researching something; an engineering bay that lets you play around with replicate engines in an attempt to find a way to make your engines push harder...etc etc.

So until Frontier implement some kind of in-game reason to keep us at our screens while we travel 0.14 (which is what? like 1.5 hours or something); a movie and a cuppa joe is basically what we're stuck with. :p
