So, the Thargoids are going on a killing spree and the players decide to go on a jolly..

Killing spree isn't the right word. They're technically running from the worse Thargs, and happen to be retreating through the bubble.

yeah these are the hippy, vegan snowflake thargoids just exploiting their liberal right to migrate where ever they want because it’s got a bit nasty back in their homelands and jobs are a bit short at the moment.

We should build a wall and make the guardians pay for it.

I've come to understand that the Thargoids are busy taking over the known human civilization and surrounding systems yet instead of all that the press talking about a mass exodus. All we hear about lately is some collective jolly of screen shots and a caravan of transients tootling off across the galaxy.

'Well I suppose thats what people do when there is an alien invasion happening on the door step..', said the crack onion head addicts when interviewed.

Dr Kaii.. ' Look we've been planning this for years and the entire destruction of humanity isn't gonna stop us going off on a year long jolly'.. 'We've got things to discover and one of our most recent discoveries, is gravity' (RIP those at 'The View')

What madness is this Cmdr Jonathon Pie asks..

Tim, Tim are you there?

Tommy can you hear me?

They are going to The Foundation

Well, i'm not being paid anything at all worth talking about for killing Thargoids, or sampling them, or saving refugees (apart from G1 materials), or repairing stations, or anything like that.
That, and this has become completely routine.
People don't care about people in stations anyway, unless it's like from their own player faction. They're just numbers, and from the nature of this video game it's not really possible to make humans in this game truly human, with their own stories and all.

From a player's perspective, credits are a reward that can, and does turn completely obsolete, while people NEVER have too much materials or data.
And nothing related to Thargoids gives that..

Something something Tier 2 and Tier 3 NPCs. They were meant to be a thing, and would definitely get you motivated to help out. Sadly, they don't exist (engineers are the closest analog to a Tier 2 NPC at the moment)

From another players perspective advancing in technology and skill to be able to fly as one of humanitys elite-pilots into combat to counter the Thargoid threat makes me proud and gives me a purpose. As Elite-Pilot money is none of my concern. Advancing in technology and skill to be able to play endgame content and help defend inhibited systems is. One perspective of many that is...

Well nothing new, I have read about ealry 21th century history and although thre was some major issues with the Earths envioroment/overpopulation/lack of resources at the time the most viewed show ever was a royal wedding on some island.
People are still the same they can take on a small problem even a big one but not the huge ones so ignore them is the solution.
Huge problems dont sell news.... so Asling Duvals love entanglements make front page while stations were burning.

Nothing new, nothing to see here...

And meanwhile when members of the Pilots Federation specifically hunt down other Pilots Federation members simply going on exploration trip, destroyin thousands of them needlessly like total psychopaths, incurring huge insurance claim spikes.... Shhhh! Nothing to see here...

Same here. It's a bit of role play too...
I just wish this content was a bit more polished.

You should really stop with your looser attitude. Players killing players are... also players. Not psychopaths. Post reported.
