Accidental Hit V grumpy players

So, about 5 minutes ago I was doing some comunity goal missions of taking out wanted NPCs when I spotted a CMDR in a vulture having a little fight. I thought I'd be nice and help out so launched my NPC fighter and began shooting the annaconda they were fighting with.
After a minute or so the anny had lost its shields so I fired a shot from my plasma accelerator, at that moment the vulture decided to turn and swerve right in the way of my shot . They took a small bit of damage but I then got a bounty on me (This was in FleetComm btw). Unfortunatly my fighter decided that was green light to have a go at the vulture :O . As soon as I noticed what happened I recalled the fighter, retracted hardpoints then turned away to leave whilst messaging my sincere apologies.

Sadly though, said CMDR took this as an insult to their bloodline and began attacking me, I spent the next few minutes constantly messaging explaining the situation whilst flying away in a straight line, hardpoints retracted. In the end I unashamedly CL'd. Yes it was wrong but I ain't loosing my stuff because someone over-reacted in a PG not meant for PVP.

Anyway, my whole point in creating an account and starting this thread is:

1. Honestly, I really do apologies to the CMDR for the accident but... no harm, no foul.
2. Now what? I'm now wanted in this system, I don't really want to just stop the rest of the weeks CG for fear of being detained/sent back to flip knows which system.

Can you still dock at Omega? There should be an interstellar factor there.

And this incident shows why everyone in the PG should have "report crimes against me" set to OFF.

Mistakes like these happen, they are not always easily avoidable.
Do you know the Commanders name, as well? I would like to get in touch with him if possible.

In order to remove your bounty, you will need to travel to Lagoon Sector FW-W d1-122 (1,386.17Ly) and go to contacts and speak to the Interstellar Factors.

What happens if he tries to dock at Omega? Will the station shoot him down? I thought you could dock and access the interstellar factor as long as you're not scanned?

EDIT: Alright, I just noticed there is no interstellar factor at the Omega mining base.[knocked out]

But even if there was, last I checked an IF is not able to remove a bounty placed by a faction at their own station. So if the bounty is from Omega, the only thing you could do at Omega would be to turn yourself in, but that would land you back in the bubble.

Moral of the story: do not under any circumstances trust the admin of Fleetcomm- I've never seen a more paranoid group of officials.

I did take a few screenshots of me running away with my apologies in the chat and the full shield/armour vultutre shooting me down with their name but..... snitches get stitches!

After posting this I logged back in and my bounty had disappeared and I was no longer wanted. I tried editing/removing this post but had to wait for it to be moderator approved first.
Regardless though, it was an honest accident and nobody got hurt. Seeing as I'm no longer wanted I'll hope nothing bad happens and I can continue the journey. I just need to keep and eye out in case CMDR is still bitter.

Being an Administrator for DWII, I am letting you know that you will not be kicked from the Private Group for accidental mistakes like this.
If we run into issues / reports of known griefing where there is evidence to prove such, then that is only when we would consider doing so.
