Which ship manufacturer could you live without?

Gutamaya.
I don't like the posh luxury look on them. I want my space ships classic, not like fancy sports cars or limousines (though awesome work by the designers).

Space ships classic? Can you expand on this?
What defines a "classic space ship"? Like, the Enterprise is a classic space ship, and it's quite luxurious.
By classic, are you thinking of like Serenity, Battlestar Galactica etc?

Right. I think grey, non-fancy but believable. The Enterprise doesn't really cut it for me, sorry.

I like these:

I'd love more grey paint jobs to make my ships look like these. I really don't get why there are so many flashy and vibrant ones actually.

Frontier's paintjobs are based on what sells. It's why there's a disproportion between ships with regards to kits and paintjobs. Whatever ship is new or currently trending, Frontier make something for it; what the design team make is determined by marketing. :<

A greater balance would be nice.

Yeah, the range of ships in Elite is great. Something for anybody's space ship taste, the paintjobs though... I miss the classics a lot in that department.

Saud Kruger. Expensive limos built for one thing and one thing only: whiny cargo--err, I mean "passengers." Credit farms for those who want to look rich. Catch a Kruger ship out in the open and it's toast. Any ship can do passengers; why blow all that money on a fancy ship when you can't enjoy any of the expensive parts but the paintjob? It's not like the passengers show any real gratitude...

And so help me if they don't shut those gushy wedding barges and self-absorbed cruise liners up I'm going to kill them all myself, bounty be damned.
