Horizons Interdicted while in FSS ,,, not auto-pulled from FSS

What the subject says. Didn't have a chance to fight the interdiction. Didn't get pulled from FSS into a different mode that might have let me get some way on the ship so I could fight it..

Fortunately I have no cargo.

Nature of the beast. When in FSS you have to down throttle, and when down throttled you will automatically submit. While doing a survey you're easy pickings. If you're exploring, then you're likely to have the next star targeted already, so as long as you start FSS far enough away so the star isn't blocking that vector, at least in a bad interdiction you can high wake right away.

It definitely is a pity we have to Throttle down to use the FSS.

I understand the zoomed part (especially when heavily zoomed) would require a rework to compensate for relative Ship movement - but it'd be worth it IMHO.

PS.
After departing a Planet/Moon, instantly go into FSS at idle while at min. Altitude above the Planet.
Depending on the Moon's speed and rotation, things get very interesting when zoomed in far ;)

Well. One dodge may be to get into FSS while still up close and personal with the star directly behind you. That should prevent the interdictor from getting in the cone behind you to lock the interdictor.

Another one that I already know works is to have a second ship in a wing staying in normal space watching for possible punks and warning the scanning ship. I do it but it is easy for me since I have the computers sitting side by side, but, I see no reason why the wing member in SC couldn't voice comm the one in FSS.

Happened to me today, while in FSS. I just heard strange sound coming from my ship, exited FSS and was greeted by the Interdiction Screen. Tried to resist, but had a very bad start, so decided to submit. Was busy targeting the next star on my route, so did not hear what the NPC had to say. High Waked out, but was not attacked.

The problem here is, that in FSS and in DSS you are not only helpless, you are blind. And the latter could be fixed in a simple way: Just let the ships computer give warning, when a contact appears and comes near. This would be the natural thing to do. In hazardous systems it is no fun to permanently exit FSS or DSS to take a look around. Should be also easy to implement...

Take a look at this vid. Birdman posted it in response to my question.

Nice video - I already knew it...
But - it has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. As I said, it was a NPC who interdicted me, and it could even have been System Security. What is discussed here is that one is practically blind while using FSS or DSS. I had about 5 or 6 interdictions while playing for around 15 days. I beat 4 of them, and submitted to 2. Never was attacked - no mission and no cargo.

The problem is, that you cannot do anything mentioned in this video (watching your back, and so on) while using FSS. So I think at least you should get a warning if a contact appears or gets near while being in FSS or DSS (target mode). That is all, then one can react and take appropriate action. You can drop from FSS or DSS anytime without negative effects. But doing this every half a minute or so is awful...

Well. Not completely always blind. If the NPC sends a message it will show in the Comm Panel but who watches that while trying to get tuned in on something.
