3.3.03 unplayable(in new systems)

Yeah. Looks the same here. Jumped into a new system with 7 belt clusters and the loop has returned.

Well, perhaps tomorrow we'll have a fix.

I will note, last system I was in, when the loop broke I found the asteroid clusters had "un-discovered" themselves in the FSS and I had to rescan; the loop did not start up again, thank heavens, but then I was outside passive detection range.

Tried with a system having 21 belt clusters, zoomed in on each and every cluster. The 6 A A ones still on a notification loop. :(
I have a theory, that the amount of notification loops may be tied to total number of belt clusters and bodies in the system, testing that will have to wait until tomorrow - hopefully being redundant by then.

Don't waste your time testing that theory, it's seems to be an infinite loop.

Following advice elsewhere I waited it out until the messages stopped. At that point your theory seemed sound, but then I jumped a couple of systems. First no clusters, next had three.

So the message loops starts up - A1, A2, A3, then again and again and...

I tried looking the three clusters, but that didn't help. Still 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3...

I've had the system inform me the system scan was complete despite it showing there was still one object to scan. Also got stuck on the 'lady' telling the system scan was complete, maybe 6 or 7 times before I quit.

I'm 11k+ outside the bubble so using Neutron stars to boost, but since the update I've been getting messages in the system after the jump that the FSS is operating outside safe limits. Hm...

For anyone frustrated by this try this:

Drop to real space and wait for the discovery list to complete, then carry on as before. IME it does not reoccur until you exit & restart the game again. It may be that those seeing an infinite loop may be fast travelling rather than visiting POIs etc.

If you are seeing a continuing loop from a previous system the game may not be able to complete the list. Logging out to the main menu, waiting for approx. 10 secs then logging back in fixes it.

Once fixed it doesn't seem to come back.

I think you are correct on this, but it'll come back the next system you jump to that has a belt in it. Super frustrating.

If you want frontier to fix it by tomorrow, make a post saying that every time it says scan complete, you get credits, so that if you stay in a system and you get 100 scan completes, when you go to a station it gives you 100 times normal credits. they will have it fixed in 4 hours 32 minutes flat.

Yes, I flew one direction until ~700 kLs from nearest body.
Now the spam stopped, after more than half an hour.
My best bet it is that the chain repeated once for each FSS signal detected, 59 in this case.

Hmm, well I can only say what's worked for me.

As far as I could tell, the loop remains infinite while in passive scan range even after FSS scanning the Belt Clusters. There also seems to be a backlog which builds up while in passive scan range.

The priority therefore is getting out of passive scan range as quickly as possible, and then scanning the Belt Clusters. After doing that the loop stops after one or two run throughs. - I've not tried huge numbers of systems, and couldn't try different approaches in the same system, so it could potentially be something about the systems affecting it more than the approach, but it definitely seemed that the approach I've outlined worked. (It also makes sense, as it's the passive scan detection of the Belt Clusters where the issue is occurring/starting, so moving out of passive scan range should have some influence.)

Anyway, all people can do is try and see if it works for them or not.

Good thing other people hear it too! I thought with all this exploration, the old chap had finally lost it this time :D

I can confirm this is a thing, however it does not go on forever. Eventually it does stop. I managed to ignore it for about an hour, and somewhere along the way it did stop.

Has not stopped for me. Exploration is literally broken and unplayable. Makes the new scan from a distance update pointless. Since for some reason someone decided that the title of the planet shouldn't pop up tell after notifications... So not knowing to go scan or not is just like the old system :/ hope this gets a hot fix soon ish :/

I gradually fill up on "Configurable Components" when I enter a new system.

What are these? Are they worth anything? I hope they don't make my ship heavy or something....

You know i havent actually logged in to the new update yet, but from past experience it occurred to me that with FD's quality control record, if they were in the food industry all their customers would be dead.
