General Gameplay Weekly Challenges

Your Feature Request / Idea
The current challenge for the whole community to release a bunch of Stegosaurs gave me an idea. What if there were just weekly challenges implemented into the game? This could be within the challenge mode. When you start challenge mode on an island there would also be an additional weekly challenge to make things more interesting.
On top of the normal requirements for the challenge, it could have any of the requirements such as this:
- You need X amount of this dinosaur.
- You need X% coverage of this type of building.
- You need X and Y dinosaur in the same exhibit.
- You need X amount of total dinosaurs.
- You cannot go above X amount of dinosaur species.

This could add further replay value to the challenge mode so that there's more reason to play the challenge mode over and over since the weekly challenges would keep changing.

Like your idea, it gives more gameplay variety...but it may need some type of incentive for those who complete the challenges, and a new dinosaur/skin (can't think of another reward, my imagination is not that good) every week sounds like a LOT of work, an overkill.

I was thinking about if rewards would be needed. But even without rewards it could give the same challenges we already have an interesting twist every time you play one.
But if there were rewards I think achievements would likely be the way to go. That doesn't take a whole lot of work from the devs and it could still be rewarding to the players. There could be achievements where you finish a single weekly challenge, or perhaps one for when you complete five or ten weekly challenges.

And the skins as a reward idea could still also work. There could be like 5 unlockable skins and you'd have to do five weekly challenges in total. There don't need to be infinite skins as rewards. Most people likely won't play that many challenges anyway. Having a few skins as rewards would be enough I think.

5 weekly challenges in a row?

- You need X amount of total dinosaurs.
- You cannot go above X amount of dinosaur species.

-Complete without researching heavy steel fence, concrete wall nor electrified fences.
