I let the first mention of the
death threats pass

i wanted others to confirm it as well. Yes i have seen this going on, with some gripers, and they act like they are surprised.
Now i'm not saying its okay to do, but we have to remember that different people have different social skills (we are expected to accept this with commanders that act in a anti-social manner, but not for the people that get upset). Griefers are well aware of the frustration and upset they cause, they dream of getting 'the death threat' as it puts them in complete control of the situation, even validating their work (''Its only a game, why you so mad'').
But, its like kicking a dog and then getting anger that it bites you. I have watched in DW2, griefers torment commanders, even one , over and over... In the hopes of 'braking them' and getting a TOS braking reaction. Rules are rules, if it happens in game, report it, but most griefers wont, as they may cut of the source of their enjoyment.
If players stopped reacting like they did, griefers would have nothing. so its goes unreported (as far as i have seen). Instead, the violation is used to blackmail, its held over the commander that got upset.... Now the griefer is in control. This is not the way the game should be used, and it is indeed worrying. I was hoping a few people on the griefing side would expose and conform this for me, ty
No one should ever threaten physical harm over a game, but people get very upset and say silly things they would probably never carry out. The griefer are well aware of this, and the outrage is all an act

almost as if they are playing the victim , being threaten for their craft.
The people getting griefer need to realise its not the end of the world, and not to react to the griefer, but the griefers are not innocent in their actions... they are not just playing the game... they are using it as a tool to bully (I am not referring to PvP, casual ganking, piracy... they are all cool.. but some people take it to far)
Bulling is not okay, after all, its just a game
