Yoga pants and griefing.

...the lack of any real debate about yoga pants, makes this thread, well a bit yoga pants.

Well, I think the thread is actually about the cammo Yoga pants posted earlier. Because, well, you only really put cammo on something to hide it, and hiding such a posterior is in it's own special class of griefing.

I'm completely confused by this thread. I need more pics to help me understand.

Thanks for you time and ... GL HF

Oh you'd be surprised. The amount of life threatening insults and attacks is not low. You might wanna check out the DG2 discord.
Also, much you are saying isn't false but the whole thing with this griefing topic is that the griefers live and their victims die. The griefers don't really have an issue an enjoy doing what they are doing. There is only the other side that really can't cope with that playstyle or the gamerules themselves.

I let the first mention of the death threats pass :) i wanted others to confirm it as well. Yes i have seen this going on, with some gripers, and they act like they are surprised.

Now i'm not saying its okay to do, but we have to remember that different people have different social skills (we are expected to accept this with commanders that act in a anti-social manner, but not for the people that get upset). Griefers are well aware of the frustration and upset they cause, they dream of getting 'the death threat' as it puts them in complete control of the situation, even validating their work (''Its only a game, why you so mad'').

But, its like kicking a dog and then getting anger that it bites you. I have watched in DW2, griefers torment commanders, even one , over and over... In the hopes of 'braking them' and getting a TOS braking reaction. Rules are rules, if it happens in game, report it, but most griefers wont, as they may cut of the source of their enjoyment.

If players stopped reacting like they did, griefers would have nothing. so its goes unreported (as far as i have seen). Instead, the violation is used to blackmail, its held over the commander that got upset.... Now the griefer is in control. This is not the way the game should be used, and it is indeed worrying. I was hoping a few people on the griefing side would expose and conform this for me, ty :)

No one should ever threaten physical harm over a game, but people get very upset and say silly things they would probably never carry out. The griefer are well aware of this, and the outrage is all an act :) almost as if they are playing the victim , being threaten for their craft.

The people getting griefer need to realise its not the end of the world, and not to react to the griefer, but the griefers are not innocent in their actions... they are not just playing the game... they are using it as a tool to bully (I am not referring to PvP, casual ganking, piracy... they are all cool.. but some people take it to far)

Bulling is not okay, after all, its just a game :)

Distant Ganks 2.

Not true. Join that Discord to see the salt.

We get death threats.

Someone once send me a PM saying he hopes I'll die soon because I was arguing against the cockpit clock showing local time. That's the internet, it's a silly place giving idiots the opportunity to show how stupid they are.

Such things need to get reported and the user banned. It doesn't strengthen your argument for anything though so it's pretty pointless to talk about it.

Well said, I find the reaction of the griefers rather hypocritical. After all these is the same group that purposely have gone out of their way to disrupt as many people as possible with minimal or zero risk to themselves. Also, this is the same group that use to equate high waking to CLogging and place them on a KOS list. Speaking of their KOS lists, I was interested to see that the mere fact of carrying a DC is enough to warrant your inclusion, how is that for a show of maturity …..

It is like when a schoolyard victim of bullying finally has had enough and punches the bully in the nose - and bully goes running off to the nearest teacher crying.

Blowing up your video game space ship is nothing at all like kicking a dog.
Making or even hand-waving IRL threats because you like that bizarre false equivalence is really what deserves some introspection.

Playing the game as it was designed and explicitly explained isn't bullying.

Totally agree. It's a game, a fantasy land. Treat it as such.

oh hum >< you missed the point i was making. i need to get better at explaining :)

kicking the dog is an expression... refer to upsetting it to get a reaction. The goal of a grifer is not competition or game progress but to obtain a very real, personal reaction from the person behind the computer screen. I think you understand that... they can use any game to do this, but the game becomes a tool for their bullying.

Nothing you can really do about it, it is a game... but lets not pretend that griefers are playing the game (while carrying out their mining). They are playing the people behind the game, and sadly, with some people, its easy to do.

Its not a case of one person is right or wrong, but that in some cases, the griefers, who say 'it's just a game' Are not interested in the game at all, but the people behind the screen... creepy :p

We don't have to pretend.

We have the words of the devs/support to go on.

Hell I just free-ball it, myself. Yoga pants are too tight in certain... places. And honestly I often feel the need for the breeze between my knees.

...I rarely wear underwear...

Wait, what were we talking about again?

Yoghurt Yoga Pants and their affect on the BGS with referential pertinence towards PvP, Griefing and other forms of Salt Mining.

yes, you have missed the point :)

I'm not arguing if Fdev says its okay or not. so i don't know what your trying to say.
I think how the rules are set right now works well :) and PvP is working as intended, have never said otherwise. I'm not sure you know what this thread was about.

The letter you have posted as no relevance to the points i have made, maybe take another look? so we don't waste each othere time

I think most people are aware that PvP is part of the game. Under certain conditions it can be seen as harassment though, such as sniping a charity stream. There are no clear rules though, it gets handled individually. There is a forum post about it somewhere.

This man, right here, he gets it.

Each post should contain something involving bickering about in game PvP of some nature, and a photo of yoga pants. If you do not have yoga pant spics, you can't be taken seriously, as you did not make an effort.

If your post lacks content related to PvP, or griefing, crying about griefing, being a nsowflake becaus eof snowflakes that cry about griefing... then all is forgiven, so long as you post a pic of yoga pants!

Now, hold me beer...

You're the one bringing in irrelevant points.
The devs have made no such conditions, as you are.

That's also called "making stuff up."

There are no conditions except for the ones in the TOS and as outlined in the images above.

I know you are ESL, so perhaps you should just stop now...
