Must be nice, being the administrator of a space station named after your family...

The Mu Velorum Partners are keeping the cushy top positions within the family, I see. :D

{Yes, I know it's just a random matching of the "Cook" NPC surname at a space station which is ultimately named after explorer James Cook. And I know that I'm the only one that can see this particular vice-president. But it's an amusing coincidence nevertheless.}

Why would you be the only one seeing Merida Cook as Vice President acting on behalf of Mu Velorum Partners?

Those NPCs are actually persistent, everyone else at your reputation level will see the same one.

Really? I knew they were individually persistent but I thought everyone saw different NPCs, based on how each NPC says something like "I'm now your contact with this faction", whenever you meet them for the first time - implying that other people would be the contacts for any other pilots that passed by.

Easy enough to check. Go to Bast. Yeah, I was there, and so were a whole bunch of other people. Many of whom took screenshots of the mission board and posted them on the forum.

In the pic in the OP of this thread, for example, CMDR J. Calvert (Joshua)'s VP contacts for the two native Fed corporations are named "Dale Emerson" for Bast Co, and "Andrea Harvey" for Bast Holdings. To save on redundant clicking, the pic from that thread, dating from 2016/3302, is reproduced below.

And here's my screenshot of the current Bast mission board, as I see it:

My Vice-Presidents are Dale Emerson and Andrea Harvey, too. Well, I'll be darned. Since 3302 Andrea's had a diversity-boosting melanin shot and they've both bleached their hair, but otherwise, they're clearly the same veeps we're both seeing.

Learned something new, I have. :D[up]

I guess that does mean that everyone who enjoys the rarefied benefits of alliance with Mu Velorum Partners gets to see the family connection, then. [haha]

Hi there,

The contact on the main starport services menu is always the highest ranked contact, regardless of your reputation. So everyone sees the same person there.

Thanks,
Dom
