Hardware & Technical Dualshock 4 windows issue

Hey Guys.. googled and came up empty on a fix. I couch play with a controller, and the dual shock works with the game but the game does not display the dualshock button prompts... its giving me keyboard and "controller button 9" type prompts.

How do I fix this?

(I bought from frontier not steam, and don't even see the game installed.. justy the frontier elite launcher.)

I don't think PS controllers are officially PC compatible...So I don't think there is a way. Perhaps get XBOX controller? Those are just plug and play on windows. If you have a wireless dongle, or an appropriate USB cable with data transfer.

Second this. On PC, Xbox controllers are better.

The Dualshock 4 is listed in the controller options, and from what I've read, they only support the one with the dualshock USB dongle, which I have. There are posts on the web from a year or two ago of people using the gyro for headlook, and the touchpad areas for additional controls. We also have 360 controllers, but the ds4 is superior with more options.

My Razer Sabertooth says hi.

As for head/motion-tracking, get EDTracker. It's better.

Do the gyros work on PC?
If so is this with some specific software?

I'm using DS4, it was basically plug and play with win10. Everything's set up like my PS4 controls, except for the gyro and touchpad(works as one button).

Yeah, I read a link about it. It's just disaponting that they advertise dualshock 4 support, but you don't get the proper button prompts in game. If the controls were very basic it would be one thing, but this has some complex controls to learn.
