Engineers Best Power Distributor upgrade for PvE Vulture w/ dual beams

Hi,

I am kitting up a vulture and engineering it up slowly. I’m running dual gimbled beam lasers (I want a lazy PvE machine for res farming etc. for engineering materials). So I do carry collector limpits.

So far I have efficient beams 3 and thermal vent on both the beams. I have lvl 1 over charged Power Plant. Imwould also like dirty drives I think but not got that far yet. Now I have access to PD and wondering what would be best to put in here considering the current weapon loadout?

Also anyone have a fully finished engineered vulture they like to share load outs of?

Thanks!

Charge Enhanced (Super Conduits)

Orion's Ego

What you put in the class 4 optional and down is kind of up to you. That's what I run, as I tend to travel around a lot.

Thats actually really helpful! I did not realise I could A spec it all and still get a working ship. I think my access to some of the engineers will prevent me jumping straight in but that’s pretty close to were I was hoping to head. How big a deal is it losing the hull and module reinforcement in real terms against npcs? I really like limpets and a cargo rack - but I also do not have guardian tech either so maybe I could keep one..

Oh and is the heat sink required? The way people talk about thermal vent on the beams, the ship freezes? Edit: I actually see it has a shield bank so guessing for that. Are their other options to the cell bank that are more install and forget?

Playing a little (totally unrealistic right now but something to aim for) https://coriolis.io/outfit/vulture?code=A4patfFaladksff30v0v0i040404B22d032om1C5.Iw1%2FkA%3D%3D.Aw1%2FkA%3D%3D.H4sIAAAAAAAAA42QsS4EURSGz%2B6aMbN3zM2unXWJyLKXQiFKm0hsR0Mk3sATKBUSJAqFR1BsoVDqKJQeQKkQlZJWhNlz%2FKe4G43ELb78yf%2FdO2cOcUJEwxpgToYijWvAr%2BVEUuENrcaA8hhIHseJ7OqnSPs1Q1%2FltvYRYP2XSOsNKAaWyN3gUvdgClKNZ4JUHgazeWeIWkcFzGc0EnFPpYpKp0B6KSL1Mww1r2lB06KmJU0S8354051PEq10doimdTBJeC%2F8TjkHRP2YKF7%2FEHEDoNt%2Fh5T%2BRzK8GT5irtDb3W9sR5N7SIm8Jsl4ayRljF7hL%2BqoJv6uct4OVdWVIrGuy%2FQwT%2BMFKJ6wfX%2BPZYvl5dEjt2DemYWkqal79ppE6Pf5AaWWspLRAQAA.EweloBhAOGQUwIYHMA28QgIwVyKBQA%3D%3D&bn=Griffon

You could run D-grade Life Support and Sensors and probably never notice a difference. You're correct that the Heat Sink is used in conjunction with the Shield Cell Bank. While Thermal Vent is great--it's not going to counter the heat spike from using the SCB. You *could* run a Guardian Shield Reinforcement Package instead--which just gives a flat amount of shielding, in which case I would replace the Heat Sink with a Chaff Launcher.

Not running bigger hull and or module reinforcement is a drawback, but I prefer the convenience of the booster and scoop since I like to move the ship around a lot. If I only used it in LHS 20 for HazRez bounty-hunting and never moved it, I'd go with a class 4 MRP and the rest HRPs.

I don't really use the shield cell bank that often either, it's more of a, "Oops I bit off more than I could chew" module, because typically any ship that I can't pop REALLY fast, is so big I can typically avoid it's guns.

And as far as a collector limpet/cargo rack--git gud at scooping.

(I'm just teasing you--but I never try to put collectors on a small ship. Large combat ships, absolutely.)

Here's my BH Vulture build if it helps you. I'm running fixed, but gimballed should work just as well: https://s.orbis.zone/25za

Yeah I find that quite interesting. I’ve not seen many running 0E boosters and never tried swapping those in - but you still manage good shielding. I see you going the armoured route too on the power plant when I’ve only considered over charged.

I’m running out of power now so next step for me I think is to try get Hera Tani unlocked so I can play some more. I’ve gotten so engrossed applying mods and trading that I’ve not actually hunted in my Vulture yet since embarking on this :)
