You are not imagining things. It is true that even the smallest patches latelly, break the game even more. I wonder what the heck is happening with them.

True? I don't think so.

I think the game's better than it ever has been and is becoming much more like the game it was supposed to be back when it was Kickstarted. Look at videos on YouTube from early 2014 and then tell me how much worse and broken the game's become since 1.0...

Just because some people are having problems with it doesn't mean it's definitely the game's fault - have you guys considered your computer / connection / any number of things could be at fault?

Just saying.

Yes. Everyone complaining of crashes must have developed connection issues simultaneously exactly at the time the last update was released. That's a MUCH more likely reason....

Its due to the increasing complexity. The game needs to be refactored that for sure.

Everyone complaining about crashes and connection issues represent a tiny fraction of the playerbase. Sometimes it's due to the game, other times it's due to poor hardware or configurations, other times still it's PEBKAC :)

.

The only way you could do that is to sit there and have someone jettison VOs or something while you scoop them, it's practically faster just to mine them yourself TBH. Still, never knew it was a thing in E:D.

BGS aside (which I couldn't tell if it was broken or not anyway), I've only encountered 1 potentially large bug, and the rest are mostly just mildly annoying UI issues.

Seriously? And all of the sudden many cmdrs have the same problems after the patch heh? Maybe its my rig thats disturbing the force.

Eeeeeh, come on. If thi sis a beta, it's the most feature packed, polished beta ever released.

Patches introducing bugs =/= beta state, just poor testing, which is not new.

I'm not white knighting, but this game has become a monster, I do feel for the devs. No excuse for the supercruise bug that came with the last patch, but they fixed that in 48 hours.

Next up I hope is the BGS fix, more variety of mission generation, the USS bugs and variety of USSes, the system states being pure nuts, materials gathering balancing, material trader balancing, and I guess that'll do for now. Oh, and outfitting overhaul.

It;s also true that the regular disconnection (which they attempted to fix in yesterday's patch) were still happening to me last night. I'd say a disconnection per hour, usually on dropping into a new system after a jump.

There's work to do, but it's perfectly playable.

The definition of insanity (apparently) is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.

Evidence? There seems to be a lot of complaints from what I read. It's beside the point anyway. The number of issues have demonstrably increased since the recent update. Either the complainants hardware/config deteriorated all at the same time as the update dropped or there's an issue with the update. Which do you think is more likely?

Did I read this right - just because someone has a differing view to you he is placed on the ignore list? Seriously, isn't that just a little petty and childish?

And yes, I know, I will be placed on your ignore list as well, but then I am the only one benefitting :D

Yeah, I had to do a double take. I don't think that I was that inflammatory but then again I don't really care what he thinks of me. Oh well. Care to split a shrug emoji? I can't eat a whole one myself.

But on a serious note - these bugs that people are talking about are news to me. I honestly haven't seen any of this stuff, and my gameplay hasn't been affected in the slightest so far. No wait, I tell a lie - I went to open the mission board earlier and it only gave me a partial list. So I closed it and reopened it and it's been working just fine. The vocal minority is just a minority, and we don't have the stats to show how many people aren't having issues versus ones that are.

My housemate and I are in Australia and aren't getting disconnected at all, so with all things considered I stand by my statement that while it could be from the game it could also be from any number of reasons - including PEBKAC. Anyway.

Or maybe the complainants are simply more vocal. Consider the number of complaints relative to the forum population versus the number of people playing in toto. Demonstrably it is not demonstrable because we don't have access to the relevant info, only Frontier do, and like I said with my caveat it could be from anything. Calling ED a beta and hooting about how broken everything is is fallacious and totally untrue... Change my mind?

Everyone complaining about crashes and connection issues represent a tiny fraction of the playerbase.

Any metric at all to back that up?

It's blatently obvious that the bugs since the release in december still continue to cause frustration to many users.

Trying to lay the blame at 'PEBKAC' is simply juvenile and ignoring the facts as presented on the bug board.

Prior to 3.3 I had no connection issue bar the odd hiccup in a large system with many players.

Post 3.3 I'm constantly disconnected. Cannot use the Galaxy Map for any decent distance plotting, among a myriad of other issues.

So let's evaluate your nonsense.

Poor Hardware. Nope. I run a water cooled i7, 32gb, 1080ti, with 4tb on board. GFX runs @48 deg average with Ocolus running.
Configuration. Nope, all connections my company servers, based in Dublin, UK, Isle of Man, Germany, Canada, USA all work flawelessy.
PEBKAC. Nope. I'm software developer of 30 years, have built many systems from scratch.
No issues prior to 3.3, many many issues after 3.3

If there is any PEBKAC here I respectfully suggest it is at your end.
