PvP Help the lone wolf outfit a corvette

Almost there (a day away) in terms of mats and rank, I can just throw some modules off the conda, wash off the blood.. let her explore.

I am totally in the dark as for which weapons are more optimal than others. I'm alright with rails, all kinetics, pulses, bursts, plasma; beams kinda not my thing. Curious what You prefer for PvPvE.

Here's the initial thoughts on the build: https://s.orbis.zone/29ug

I'm more into 1v1's, massive online battles do not interest much.

If you try to use that build for PvP it's only gonna get you killed. Here's my PvP Vette you can use to compare.

Class 7 fighter hangar is a bit excessive...better to take a second large SCB and use a class 6 instead. You can always swap out that fuel scoop for a slightly smaller HRP if you need to.

Weapon wise, against other large ships, you probably want to be looking at fixed incendiary MCs or efficient plasma in the huge hardpoints; a feed back rail (or two small ones); something to deliver corrosive, and maybe a drag frag or something.

Will fixed phasing lasers be any threat at all to you?

They don't do enough damage.

Phasing is really to counter builds that are 100% biased towards shields. Under normal circumstances (as Morbad points out) they don't have enough kick if the other ship has a good balance between hull and shield.

I'm interested in the bust rate vs a phasing attack. Such as, with a hull of 900 (75% biased toward shields?), my ship would last 5 minutes vs a all phasing conda build?

From memory the bleed damage is 15% weapon power, and that damage has no type so it can't be mitigated by resistances. In reality you would have time to escape I imagine, mainly as phasing is more about prolonged combat beyond an alpha strike and grinding down a stubborn SCB large shielded hull. If its a shielded Cutter they can simply outpace the other big 2, but against a group of fast movers with phasing you might have more of an issue. Most of the time people will simply go for the most powerful shots possible and cascade you, as phasing has a -10% DPS penalty- so when the shields do come down you are fighting with much less pop.
