PvP A Humble Request

Greetings:

I'm new to Elite Dangerous.
I'm just learning how to fly.
I'd like to check out some open space.

Before I'd do that I'd like to get a pinky swear from all the PvP gankers out there in the Milky Way.
I'd like to see all of them swear that they'll not attack me and my tiny ship.
Instead, if you see me bobbing along in the inky blackness or bouncing my ship off an asteroid you should offer to help.

If you're busy, you can always just send me credits.

I've gone out of my way to meet you half way on this one.
I'm glad we had this talk.

There's nothing like a good ganking to provide a new CMDR with all the ship-building advice and Escape & Evasion practice they need when starting out. Remember to "GG", just before you explode.

You forgot to mention what platform you're on.

For instance, if you're on PS4, Ferios is out ganking explorers in the core and Duck is playing via smoke signals, so you'd have the bubble to yourself.

On the other hand, if you're on PC, you're probably DOOOOMED. :D

I'm on the Personal Computer.

I don't really like the tone of your reply in that I'm not sure you're giving the ship burners much credit.
I think deep down inside they are good people who want to help but they've not been given a chance.

Take Mr. Stingray for example - he started out as a 'No' but I think he's now on the fence, and that is progress.

Its called ELITE DANGEROUS for a reason. I recalled being on COD 5 mins after release having NOOB screamed at me. In any case it is more likely the Environment will get you.

Don't forget to travel to Hutton Orbital to pick up your free Anaconda.

You'll more likely be exploring the darkest recesses of the re-buy screen...

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot. Make sure you have the insurance covered by about 3X the re-buy cost.

You are so glaringly naive .. welcome to troll territory. I wouldn't be surprised if the CMDR with over 1000 kills to his credit is in fact yourself.

Hey, all kidding aside, whether you're genuinely new or an old hand on a new account - welcome to the galaxy Commander, and I sincerely hope you have an amazing time!

That said, just in case one of your new friends turns out to be a trap, you probably want to give Ziljan's Guide to Evading Gankers in Open a read.

I'm working on guide of my own entitled: Peace Through Dialog and Understanding


It is difficult to find a publisher willing to include a free pressed flower with each copy.
