Hey all,

Just to highlight the full text from the Round Up: "a small update planned in April with more exciting things to follow later this year".

We're not releasing anything in March. We'll have a small update in April with more on the horizon afterwards.
Do you release that this is the worst mistake people wont wait any longer they will buy New games ans forget your's but this is you're choice but i i'm sure that a small upgrade middle in April will paie this game more abandon than hé is now i'm so desappointing such great possibilities for this game

Oh no. You might have to play another game for a while. Most normal people would do this. People generally stop playing a game heavily after a while. I know I do this with many games.

I know belive me. But for now i have to say that whit JWE i'm done, dont misunderstand me i still belive in your work ( in the past you have done a great job) but i have 300 hours of play, i have unlock everything complete every challenge and all achivements and simply i got nothing left to do.
I will keep an eye for the april update and future info, hoping that you are bring the game in the right direction ( for me and the most of the community the main issue is the lack of terrain tool option and nature and park decorations that could be add tons of fresh hours of play and replayability)

I suspect if there is a DLC along with the update it will likely be something small, like the update itself. Something like a new dino DLC pack. I do think it's great that Frontier is taking its time on the next big update. I hope this means that some of the major issues with the game such as Terrain Constraints, Terrain Tools, and "Incubation Speed" saying "Reaction Speed" when applied to the Hammond Creation Lab, are being addressed. (Seriously though, that addon has been the wrong text when applied in the U.S. almost since the game came out)

Thank you Steggs, Paul, and Frontier for letting us know that something is coming in April (most likely, unless bugaggedon happens). I don't mind waiting a few months.

If you can’t do a road map, why can’t we get Dev Diaries you don’t even have to say when stuffs gonna be released just drop content whenever but giving us the tiniest carrot on a stick ever won’t work forever people need a little more info to go on..

“Small update, coming in two months, something to follow it” that’s so exciting... wow

Are Dev Diaries too much work? You the PR team could go into the office and write them for the devs and give us something substantial to get excited for.. you don’t go into a restaurant and see the menu only for it to say burger... it tells you everything your gonna get and it comes out when it’s ready to come out.

Just feels to me like “can’t do a road map, because we don’t like putting time frames on our work” is more a massive excuse than a good reason. [down]

Road maps era a terrible idea in game development, provided you're dealing with anything more complicated than, like, Pong. Code interactions are finicky and can result in an unexpected delays, and when devs don't follow the roadmap everyone acts like they broke into their house and murdered their dog.

Would I like more info on what's coming? Yes. Do I think they should announce a timeline? HAHAHAHA, no. If you want an example of why announcing hard deadlines is bad, take a stroll down to Steam discussions of a game called Grim Dawn and see all the brouhaha people are making about an expansion that the devs said would be (and is in line to be) released on Q1 WHICH ISN'T EVEN OVER YET. Heavens forbid that thing gets delayed.

Tbh I don't care much for timelines as I do for the content they are working on. I don't think it should cause major issues to tell us broadly what they are working on. For example "Our team is working on .................... with an estimated release in late spring." Something like this is fine by me.

I was making a case for Dev Diaries... I don’t care about Road maps... I just want to know what they’re working on before it gets released... so I can see if they actually are listening to the fan base. Dev diaries are literally the best opportunity for the devs to communicate with the fans, I know frontier have absolutely no idea how to do this but it is a wish..

Look at how paradox releases Dev diaries for stellaris, cities or surviving mars, look at how excited people are for prehistoric kingdom... and look how much feed back the community can give on Dev diaries rather than waiting for it to get released for the community to discover issues after or rather the community ask why x & y weren’t done in the first place.
