Found the source. It just says that Braben will talk about these things, not that it will be in the build they are showing.

There's no point to talk about it and not to show it. It is clearly indicated there. Also EGX is biggest show FD is doing this year (show floor) so it is quite clear to me it will be Beta 2 shown there.

I think exploring will be in Beta 2, because month ago when asked Michael said exploring is ready for deployment during last Twitch stream.

yea, if you look at the last showcase he did the HUD was totally different to the one we are currently using.

you must remember at the shows FD will use the most advanced build available, it may not be stable for internet use but would be rock solid on a LAN type of set up.

I would be thrifty with statements like that, it may give false hope and lead to disappointment... Saying that, I really hope Pecisk is right! :)

Also there's all the stuff in the last newsletter... I imagine that mining will be in as well given that it was in a prior newsletter.... Expect B2 to land in the next week or two I suspect....

If I recall correctly, at the Bafta's FD were showing a pre-release of the build that gave us the Orbis... then we got that build the week after or something... There's no reason why EGX has an early build of Std Beta 2.... then we get it after EGX.

This also might be the case :) Heh, I hope FD will end our speculations with announcing release date this week :D

The Bafta event had the first appearance of the Coriolis station, docking, outfitting and the Cobra Mk III for Alpha 3. We knew we were getting Alpha 3 that week though.

The Orbis station was actually first seen at E3 but post Alpha 4 all dates for major releases were announced in the newsletter.

All of the Beta release dates have been given in the newsletter so it's likely Frontier are still trying to finish off branches of functionality they are hoping for Beta 2 and will announce the date on a Friday consistently. They may demonstrate a dev build for tomorrow but doubt it will have everything merged in that's expected for the Beta 2 branch if it isn't completed.
