There is no reason to remove the FSS.

I completely agree with him. I hate the FSS. I don't like having to stop my ship and twiddle knobs on that terrible interface.

I haven't used the FSS for at least a month now, and But I'm not going to be leaving the bubble again any time soon.

Yeah but you don't post "the FSS is rubbish" in multiple threads at every opportunity, no matter how tenuous that thread might be linked (if at all).

P.S. Re. "...not going to be leaving the bubble...": I find the FSS really convenient out in the uninhabited galaxy, it is so clean and precise. However back in the bubble the one time I find it annoying is dropping-in to a system where the honk reveals the "unexplored" and then just wading through all the blobs to populate the system map / nav screen is a right pain due to the plethora of signal blobs - so much so that if there is a nav beacon I just scan that instead. Of course systems where the bodies are "known" then the FSS is far too time-consuming compared to scanning the nav beacon.

Hardly seems fair to me

When is this game supposed to be set? There probably hasnt been a live elephant for a millennium in the elite universe.

Apart from which as far as i can tell support is starting to grow for the return of the ADS. I still say, politely suggest, the first step here is to admit that taking it away was the wrong thing to do.

When I first read this I was like wthf is this? Are you talking about actual leather being made from elephant butts or is this a euphemism for a very unfortunate type of skin condition people might be getting lol.

Burke I'm personally not opposed to yall having both as a option but judging by the responses just in this thread alone a majority are just fine and prefer the fss. Good luck in your endeavors in trying to get it back though. o7

Control freaks probably that like dictating how other people should have to do stuff. Unfortunately a lot of people are this way nowadays the world would be a much better place if people would let each other do as they please. As long as what they do doesn't impact others that is. Peace man hopefully you get it back as a option but seems like fdev is taking a year or 2 off now.

Ah I see well that's considerably less disturbing than what I thought it could be. I started last October and the planets have always looked like elephant butt leather. Better texturing and stuff would be cool hopefully stuff gets a lot of improvements in 2020.

You will have to direct me to the stats that support that claim, because from my own reading of the forums that doesn't seem to be the case at all. There certainly seems to be an increase in the number of threads about it, take this one for example, I think this is his third or fourth thread on the subject, and since putting up the OP he hasn't been back to respond at all. If growing support is the ever increasing number of threads by the OP then that's not a correct basis to judge increasing support.

Just to put my opinion down here, I am very happy with the FSS.

Its easy to pile on an take the micky out of OP. The FSS sucks, its ruined the fun for many people. While it probably doesnt need to be banned there is no reason to deny the player an alternative. All you people posting "no" and variations of, why do you take such delight in dumping on somebody who just wants the choice? Sinse this is the suggestions forum i have to assume its for FDs benefit. Very sad.

You need to ask FD about that i have no stats. Its just that as "the antis" run out of steam it has become increasingly difficult to argue sensibly against an optional module. I do beleive, with no evidence for or against, that if FD are taking metrics changes in exploration behaviour will paint the FSS as not entirely a success.
