Unlocking engineer in colonia

Hi Commanders who know colonia, I am side stepping from DW2 to unlock the engineers there.

I am about to unlock Mel Brandon in Luchtaine

After a hard one battle ( I lost 3 pythons) I gained 120,000 Combat vouches against the Nameless.
But I cant donate them to him as they need to be submitted and the contact at the brig is unavailable.

Can i hand them in somewhere else? or do I have to wait for a system change for the contact to become available at the engineers depot?

The last engineer to go will be etienne dorn and 25 escape pods, where d I find these in Colonia? at certain USS sites?

Mel Brandon - as others have said, take them to his base, he accepts any old bonds, I has some from the bubble.

There's a megaship in a distress call in his system - google him and it comes up. Take hatchbreakers & get them all in one or 2 shots.

I am at his base, with the bonds, I am invited and unlocked, But I cannot donate them in his workshop, and the contact general services is locked?
maybe I need ordinary bounties not comabt zone bounties?

Ah. Yes, ordinary bounties are required.

The wording that says they need to be specifically from the Nameless is incorrect - just hop over to one of the nearby RES in Luchtaine.

I don't mean to be harsh on the OP. I'm really just mentioning this to avoid confusion....

This is all the same stuff that players are likely to have already done; Bounty vouchers to unlock Tod McQuinn and CZ Bonds to unlock Juri Ishmak.

I guess it's possible that a player might be unlocking Mel Brandon without already having unlocked the other two but it's really just a case of reading the instructions.
Combat Bonds and Bounty Vouchers aren't the same thing.

As for unlocking Mel Brandon, there are heaps of Nameless pirates in the area.
I just stopped off at a nav-buoy (in Brandon's home-system IIRC) and a convenient Nameless Annie showed up and gave me a Cr300k bounty by itself. [up]

It's spreading... Soon all contacts shall disappear. First Colonia, then.. Who knows? A new Cerberus Plague. Who took a microchip from a Guardian site and inserted it to their ship computer panel, thinking there was cat pictures?

Terminology is important.

Bounty Vouchers - Combat destroying WANTED ships in missions, nav beacons, resource zones.
Combat Bonds - Combat destroying ships in in Conflict Zones.

Tod McQuinn - Earn more than 15 bounty vouchers. Provide 100,000 credits worth of bounty vouchers.
Mel Brandon - Provide 100,000 credits worth of bounty vouchers.

Juri Ishmaak - Earn more than 50 combat bonds. Provide 100,000 - 1,000,000 credits worth of combat bonds.
Colonel Bris Dekker - Provide 1,000,000 - 10,000,000 credits worth of Federal combat bonds.

Petra Olmanola - Gain combat rank of expert or higher.
Broo Tarquin - Gain combat rank of competent or higher.
Loti Jameson - Gain combat rank of dangerous or higher.

yeah yeah, been a long time since i u locked an engineer!

always thought it be simpler to shoot a wanted ship and get one reward
too complex and similar in my view

anyhow thanks for the advice I am now sorted with mr mel gibson

so I'back in colonia and I can't seem to get an invite to Mel Brandon. I was already allied with the colonia council before the engineers were added out there. I've also tried dropping my reputation 1 level and getting allied but nothing yet.

Just fly around to various places with a Colonia Council presence and one of them should have the invite on the mission board.
