Got two ideas for solving what is a occasional big problem when running passenger missions especially in large ships that are hard to avoid interdictions in. I'm not talking about station scanning either I can avoid that and am usually allied to the stations where I run these kind of mission at(ceos/sothis for me).
1. First the harder and less likely to be implemented solution of letting us engineer passenger cabins. Even if it's just one type of engineering that shields the cabin from being scanned.
2. Second idea is the one I like better and seems much easier to program into the game is to allow for passenger satisfaction to be restored if you destroy the interdictor. Seems logical too dead men tell no tales if I turn the offending vessel into space debris there shouldn't be anything for passengers to be angry about.
Silent running seems like a big no no as just about every passenger hates hull damage and dropping shields in a big ship would be a invitation for that to happen. It's also against my nature to fight npc interdictions I prefer to submit and blow them out the water. Because of that i haven't tried to avoid them in forever but feels like a big ship wouldn't be able to anyways though i may be wrong. Still though i like to smash the interdictors teeth in but even as they are having their hull stripped away they still try to scan me unless they scurry away which happens too often these days. Which is za lol they inconvenienced me they need to stay and die with pride not run from a fight they started.
This is not a problem I run into often since I only go down to ceos/sothis when both systems are stable and in boom but if we had a solution to this i could run these missions no matter what's going on in the system. I don't like running from interdictions nor do I want to run pro bono passenger missions because a now dead npc scanned me as I tore his ship apart. Plus if they are mission spawned npcs they will dog you until you kill them pretty much and are nearly impossible to avoid.
