General / Off-Topic Knightfall tv show

Once in a while a good series among all the trash actually emerges, one I really injoyed was the punisher, now canceled because .... reasons.

So I found this one, Knightfall and I really like it, it got good acting, nice settings, good camera work, and best of all an interesting story. I just fear that it will be terminated too because reasons.....

Netflix finanaced the first season of star trek discovery.... Such an unfortunate name when its abbreviated to STD.

This is a History channel show so I doubt they cancel it. I watched the 2 seasons before I ditched cable and this underrated show is almost as good as Vikings.

Edit: Nvm Vikings was canceled so Knightfall will probably get canceled too.

Yeah I was really irritated when I found out they canceled it.

I always check my expectations when it comes to Netflix. Lesson learned after Marco Polo.

I really enjoyed Marco Polo, Shame that ended after season 2.
Another show to be careful of, i liked season 1 of The Medici, great acting.. interesting story. But season 2 something is very off... The story, The direction, The characters, all seem lower brow like a dressed up soap opera. I stopped half way through the season. Meh!

Also, the Last Kingdon suffers from lazy writing..

Uhtred, must get the girl (new girl every season... reasons)
Uhtred, must save the day
Uhtred, solves everything with either shield wall, solo infiltration or fire
Uhtred, is always right.

I have noticed Knight fall listed and thought about giving it a whirl..

i will check it out.

Ah ok, didn't know, saw it on Netflix, I haven't subscribed to regular tv for a couple years now.

Oh no... I originally posted earlier before my previous post that I watched 2 seasons.. Season 1 felt like 2 seasons for me. Anyway S2 is around the corner this month on the H channel and probably added to netflix later on.

So it looks like this show is not canceled.

Double sold.

They could have made it work, but I don’t know something happened and it just wasn’t the same, still sad they canceled it.

But they haven't "cancelled" Vikings as such. The show creator (Michael Hirst) said at the end of the 4th season that there was probably the material for another 2 seasons (given that it's based on history & lore) and Season 6 was confirmed during season 5 by the History channel - it's due later this year and filming/production has already been completed on it. Hirst has said that Vikings is primarily a story about Ragnor and his sons, and season 6 is where he wanted to wrap up their story.

There's potentially going to be a follow-on series that will continue on from where Vikings finishes, co-written by Hirst and Jeb Stuart. It may end up somewhere other than the History channel though.
