Unable to synthesise anything

Hi.

Trying to synthesise SRV fuel, but when I switch to the synthesis panel, it just says "synthesis unavailable". I re-boarded the ship, but I'm getting the same message. Any ideas?

You can't synthesise SRV fuel when on board the ship, so you'll need to be in the SRV when you try. Might be worth getting far enough away from the ship to deploy the turret, as well.

Let's rule out the obvious: you do have a few bits of sulphur and phosphorous on-board to make the fuel with, and you weren't in a situation where the SRV was actively taking shield or hull damage?

I deffo have everything I need. I get the same message whether I'm in the ship or the SRV. Have tried reboot/repair, but it didn't make any difference. Log and relog gives no joy, either.

Just managed to make it back before the fuel ran out. In open space, now. Same problem.

I wasn't aware you could synth fuel once you're back in your ship. Has this always been doable?

You can't synthesise SRV fuel when in the ship. I meant all synthesis is unavailable.

Just docked in a station. Problem persists. All modules online and working.

AFAIK, you cant.
I just did a quick test on landing. You can do it close to the ship with turrets stowed, so I have no idea why OP had an issue.

OK, so my fuel synthesis problem was from over 2 years ago after visiting guardian sites. SRV destruction/renewal was the only fix available. Synthesis didn't work and automatic refuel at docks didn't work.

This should have been fixed since then, and I can't remember seeing any recent refuel bug reports... but I haven't been looking.

Nope. Going to try changing ships to see whether that does anything.

Apart from waiting for the outcome of a bug report, my final suggestions are:

1) Destroy your SRVs and sell the Hangars, then move to a new system before getting new SRV's.

2) Get a sidewinder and lose a fight in it.

Why would maliciously attacking other commanders help?
