The Codex lore kind of gives the game away as to what Raxxla is. I am not in the game at the moment to check (ahem, at "work") but I am sure it says something like "some consider Raxxla a state of being", which I took to mean that there is nothing actually findable in the game. Still, keep on with the good hunt commanders :p

I think it's reserved for future content. Even if you find the system with it, it won't be shown.

This reminds me the portals story with NMS. At the first release many players lost a lot of time and effort trying to understand the in-game clues and to activate the portals. One year later the DLC with the portals was released by Hello Games LOL!

Fdev have already stated multiple times that its in game already though. I doubt they would lie that much.

I used to believe the same, but this is not entirely accurate.
The only evidence we have is that there are people who has been told from FDEV that Raxxla is in the game. But there is no real quote nor evidence from FDEV about it.


  • In September 2015, Drew Wagar - one of the official writers for Elite Dangerous - stated "I spoke to David Braben directly in 2014 and he confirmed to me that 'It’s out there and we (FD) know where it is.' – So it does exist."[6] Michael Brookes said “There will be no clues.”[7]
  • In March 2019, Drew Wagar reaffirmed that he had been told by Michael Brooks in no uncertain terms that Raxxla is indeed in the game, and that the developers know exactly where it is.[8]
  • Raxxla is in the Milky Way. This was confirmed during DJTruthsayer's lore interview with Michael Brookes.[9] Question: "Where is Raxxla?" Brookes: "Well it's in the Milky Way, but I can't tell you where it is. It's a journey that everyone has to travel for themselves." Question: "You have said that there will be no clues though?" Brookes: "That's true, but I think you have to make some of it a tiny bit obvious just so people know what they're doing. There's nothing to be revealed at this stage."[9]
Read carefully the third point. Michale Brookes talks about the existence of Raxxla in the lore, but not in the game, in fact he concludes saying "There's nothing to be revealed at this stage"

Will Flanagan has said before in twitch streams that they exist though. But then again thats just Will lol.
