Can I have a long wait please?

Re: paper weight...tell potus twitter is broken.
There are at least two workarounds which will tell you most of what you need to know.(at least on the ps4),zoom out/in (2 button press) or bookmark in fss (one button press).

It's broken. Or bugged. Or whatever you want to call it. And the loading issue wastes people's time. But it would be fine if it worked properly. It's just that it DOESNT work properly. If it's a time sink, it would have to be intentional. And if it were intentional, the designers would have to be objectively evil bad people, which I refuse to believe is the case.
Common knowledge: To work for F.D. you have to be a sadist.

They tried that on me in Landore Steel Works (R.T.B's. or Rag Tag and Bobtail we called it) when I was an apprentice. Gave me a chit to get a 'long weight' from the stores. I took it down and told them I'd wait outside. Then I slipped into town for a couple of pints. Sigh! Those were the days.

What is really annoying is that it resolves right when the left column is about to show the last group of materials and starts from the beginning. Those two columns should be "unlinked" from updating together.

People actually wait for that to finish?

I was going to post the very same, you don't have to sit and wait OP, you can scan the rest of the bodies and then just come back to see what's there, that way you lose nothing......except a reason to complain I guess.

Personally I think on FSS scan it should just tell us if there is bio and geo there and load the numbers when we are probulating the body and that would also take away your reason to complain, either would work I guess.

It’s the obvious thing to do, but it doesn’t work for me. Every body with Geologicals is a processing bottleneck, and other bodies get stuck behind them, and the bottlenecks then stack up. Depends on your Graphics card I guess.

But agreed that the numbers should be shifted to the DSS. Had said the same thing in feedback in the Beta for various reasons. It’s already been put in as a suggestion to fix this issue, here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...-generation-of-POIs-when-FSS-scanning-planets

Sure, if there are other bodies at the same magnification level I go on and start them all off, but often there's just the one body left to scan in the system, and you're waiting 30 seconds ...

Oh, and pop by the Med Centre and pick up 4 Fallopian tubes...

During my hospital med training we always got the newbies to pop down to theatre and request a long stand (all drip stands are height adjustable) and a left handed fallopian tube.... they could be gone for hours depending on theatre staff having left their sense of humour at home that day (or not).

Isn't that what that shouty drill sergeant in Full Metal jacket believed in? I might be remembering it wrong.

Yeh i think he said that at one point when insulting Gomer pyles.

The first page seems to be a running joke inspired by an episode of the inbetweeners.
