Collecting items doesn't "stick" through to the destination?

I've had 3 delivery runs between Nuenets and Fong Hang this morning and all three had "lost" the fact that I've collected the items at the mission source when I arrive at the target location. For one job, I had to collect the items 3 times before they stuck in my cargo holds.

I've not seen this in any previous play. Anyone else? Want to see if it's me before I bug it.

I've had that happen before but it's usually been predictable, as a result (presumably) of server instability.

I'd land on a planet, scoop the doodad, take off again, jump into SC and get the "transaction server error" message.
When I restart, I wouldn't have the doodad in my hold any more, persumably because the client hadn't been able to talk to the server since I landed.

Whenever I get disconnected mid-way through something, when I rejoin I always check to ensure the game thinks I'm on the same page that I think I'm on.

Hit space (or console equivalent) after collecting the items. I assume you mean a delivery missions like a boom time delivery?

At the risk of I am talking about the wrong thing....

When you collect items for a delivery it now requires it to be 'confirmed', and that's what the space bar does by default. Probably something like 'select menu item' in controls?

If this is about delivery missions where your cargo isn't automatically loaded to the ship once you accept the delivery mission, you are now required to load it yourself. It only took one instance of me assuming it was there to decide I wasn't going to take those missions again. After doing those for years it's hard to get used to needing to load each time. Sorry, but if I am sitting at a station and I accept a delivery mission from a faction leader, I expect they will load my ship. Never heard of someone having to load it themselves. I would charge extra for that.

I hear you Schmack, but this new way is more flexible.

If you spot a really nice mission you can accept it, and THEN go get the right ship to run it, not worrying that it will be FDev'd away while you're in the shipyard.

It also allows you to break the load down in to smaller chunks and use suboptimal ships. So let's say a player didn't have a ship that could carry 180 flux capacitors. This player can still take this mission under the new system and run multiple trips if he so chooses.

Ah, right ho. [up]

Slightly different scenario, but I guess the same thing might apply.
If you collect cargo at a station and then get a server error after you take off, when you re-join it's probably a good idea to check your cargo to make sure the game recognises that you did already collect it.

Don't recall having any issues like this that weren't the result of server errors though.

You may be right, it may be connection issues, but I thought it might be that when you take this mission and hit the plus sign to load the stuff it says you are collecting that amount. But you haven't collected that amount until you confirm it with space or equivalent.

This may or may not be the OPs issue.

Yep, it's always worth stating the simplest possibilities 'cos people often overlook them.

If it's happened to the OP three times, though, I'd hope that they have verified that the cargo's in their hold to begin with. [where is it]

Thanks, gang, but I've made sure that I've confirmed the collection of the goods each time and I haven't seen any server comms issues.

It happened again on one this afternoon - accepted the mission, select and collected the goods, confirmed, left the mission page, checked inventory - nothing in cargo marked haulage (and over 120 units of space available). Went back to the mission page, select the mission, collected again, this time checked my cargo before leaving, 42 units of haulage.

I'll just mark it up as weird for now.
