Still not arrived here. While in it's current state I don't really miss it and the only reminder that it no longer arrives weekly is the Robert Space Industries newsletter that does arrive weekly (I rarely get much out of that one either), sometimes the ED one is delayed and occasionally I've not received one until Monday.
However it is potentially indicative that it has been forgotten or 'prioritised' downwards for the sake of something else. We know that there is a forum upgrade happening which is probably a big deal for much of the customer-facing team at FDev, from a disruption & change to routine POV so the newsletter may have been missed, may have been delayed until news of the successful transition can be included, or simply skipped because too much other stuff was happening for those responsible.
It may also be that the absence has been announced but it was on twitter & nobody noticed.
Nope! Last one was on the 8th and last time I check 8+14 = 22 so it is very much over due!
Oh, well, that's different from what we were discussing earlier. I guess the game IS doomed.

There was a pretty simple question followed by a number of usual 'oh look a DOOM thread' accusations. The OP acknowledged this, to which I replied. It would have been fairly easy for you to notice this had you read through the thread.
I'm still right though Ian and I suspect you realise as much. If I were moderating (which I wouldn't want to do) I wouldn't want to be exposed to accusations of bias. I guess it's up to you though.
I agree with your basic appraisal of the thread but Ian Phillips did not post in their capacity as a moderator. Your attack is unwarranted, just as the 'white knight' activity you pick up on.
Hypersensitivity is unhelpful whichever direction it takes.
There were no oh look a doom thread accusations, but the fact that you imagine them shows how biased you are.

A newsletter that should have been released on the 22 has gone missing it seems, that's a fact.

I am indeed a web developer, and have assisted with this very same procedure before. Seems like you're trying to make some pedantic distinction here with the word "upgrade", so if it makes you feel better I'll use the word migration (again).

Nobody accused amigacooke of creating a doom thread. There was one guy who made fun about doom threads in general, but he never implied that amigacooke intended to created one. We are reading the same thread but it seems like you read it differently.
To be honest, there has not been anything in the newsletters worth reading since I can't remember when (probably pre-Horizons). Would I miss them if Frontier were to stop sending them? Nope. Would it be a smart move for them to stop sending them completely? No, it would be incredibly dumb. So based on Frontier's current communications approach, I never expect to see one again
