Greetings everyone, day one of gamescom has quickly come and gone! Tons of awesome content coming for Alpha Three was previewed live and on the floor of gamescom yesterday! Even building and park building demonstrations by members of the community shown off what they can do.

We now have reached day two, please use this thread to discuss anything related to Planet Coaster at gamescom!

Questions for Live streams

1. Will we get wooden coasters in Alpha 3?

2. Will there be water rides in Alpha 3?

3. What transport rides if any, will be in Alpha 3?
 
What kind of park analytics tools will we have available in Alpha 3?

Is weather likely to be a feature of Planet Coaster?

Can we use any ground or cliff textures, regardless of the 'theme' (Desert/Grassland) of the World?

Are there any snapping tools for lights / bins / benches, on paths?
 
  1. Creating a terain with slightly elevation and building a working path on it is quiet actually a mess! Too much collision with terain makes it impossible to build a path along a natural terain. Have worked on that?
  2. Can we build smooth and slightly elevated pathes? and even curved too?

These are very good questions. For me there's on more question left:
Do we get water physics (Waterfalls, Streaming etc) within the release version?

What I have seen yesterday within the community livestream was undescribible great and beautiful. For me planet coaster is the best game ever programmed![big grin][big grin][big grin]

Most important question i have is about the desert landscape.

I really like it, but i would love to create a desert theme in my "regular" park.
It seemed like all props, stone's and stuff is available. But ther terrain texture to create a desert terrain was not there it seemed.

Will this texture be added so i can heve a regular park with only a small part of it looking like a desert? (Just like Disney's Big Thunder Mountain).
To put it in short :

In Sandbox/custom scenario, will all ground textures be available?
 
My questions:

Will all the janitors look the same?Also, will there be any female janitors? Or janitors of varying races? The janitors we've seen so far are identical twins I assume. [big grin]

What can you tell us about customisation of flat rides? For me this is something I'd like to see huge advancements in from previous games in the genre. E.g. Will we be able to recolour individual parts? Position the control booth where we like? Customise the ride sequence and music timing? Choose different sizes for our flat rides (for example the number of cups on a tea cups ride)?

My questions:

-Will the types of grid be expanded slightly upon full release? Like having parkwide grid? Or a grid that works for coasters and other ride types you build?

-Please let me know if there are plans on the release of the PlanCo dictionary [haha]
 
Since wooden coasters are just as important as Steel, If we aren't getting wooden coasters in Alpha 3, will we get them before release so that we can give our feedback on them?

1. Full rotating including grid base pieces like walls, roofs... is something that would give us limitless creativity. Are we going to get that back, or at least something similar?

2. In the create stream you said you could even create your own supports, but theres a problem, collision detection between scenery and rides is a mess and some pieces like vegetation had some wonky hitboxes that dont let them even somewhat near a track or flat ride. Can we have collision detetction between rides and scenery taken out to expand creativity? Also we would really need a new nongrid base colorable beam if you want to create diagonal supports, becuase right now the beams are grid base and dont have full rotation.

3. Non interactive water scared me a little. I was really hoping futre water rides could interact with bodies of water. Is there anything you could say about that? And about colarble water, could we get a type of water you coudl color, to get things like the blood water from Nemesis?

4. Ground textures attached to locales is a horrible idea for creativity. I would love to have on sandbox the option to use any texture for gorund (campaign can be limited). Also were is the tarmac texture that was so useful to create parkings and man made floors in alpha 2?

5. Ive seen In the new stream that some piece can't be colorable, like the orange brick wall. Can we have everything colorable in the future? for example that orange brick wall could be super useful in other colors.

Question: What about multiplayer mode? I mean co-op with a friend, one park, one budget, building park together. Are you going to add multiplayer mode?
 
- Will the parks get bigger?
- When will transport rides come? Such as trains, monorail, chairlifts, cable cars
- Is there gonna be any optimization so the game runs smoother
- Are we gonna get transfer tables?
- Are we gonna get more trains per track?

#PlanetCoaster I like our Livestreams. But i miss the waterfalls, transport rides and water rides. Will this coming to the game?

Hi :) Following Questions:

- Will there be WEATHER Effects (Rain, thunder, strong wind etc.) ?
It would be perfect to round up the immersion and atmosphere in the game.

-Will the water be dynamic?
Is the water only a cosmetic feature or will it end up beeing dynamic?

-Since you got "Fast Pass" How about a pass for "Front Row Seats" for people who wanna ride the first front wagon?
Real parks got this aswell.

-Bigger Parks / different forms of park spaces.
Please dont limit us. Let our PC / Hardware be the limit, so we can upgrade on that or have huge parks in several years from now when the hardware is even better.

Since you merged the spotlights into one asset witch color picker, what about the brightness of the spots? Can we regulate the brightness?
Giviung us the chance to set the brightnes ourselves, would allow us for special highlights in the park.
 
Will we be able to accurately make racing coasters/coasters with more than 1 station at some point?
