no tutorial?

Learn flying the ship by trial and error. Search for the additional information on the forum. There is an unofficial guide there.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
How am I supposed to know how to do anything if there is no tutorial???

You'll be happy to know that player tutorials will be coming. For now the single player 'missions' are a great place to practice and experiment.

Its a bit like the egg and the chicken. How is anyone supposed to write a manual when nothing is finished yet :)

Take a look on youtube as well. There are numerous footage's about basic things. Landing, taking of, using supercruise, hyperspace. Or just ask here :)

When you are in the game: press ESC and then click on "Help". Almost all you need to know is in there, and the rest you'll figure out. It's not that hard.

There isn't a tutorial as such, but if last night is to go by, you don't need one because you haven't bought into the beta and you didn't want to.

how are living your life if you never try anything and don't make mistakes?

there are many sources of information that can help you, just do a quick internet search and you will see that there are :)

The single player combat scenarios pretty much teach you everything you need to know, except for the docking process. Play them and learn the keyboard assignments or make your own.

I'm really glad the first guy that made fire didn't sit around thinking "How am I supposed to make fire when there's no tutorials?"

I learnt to ride a bike at the age of 6 by myself, I stole it from a friend - I fell off a few times in the process and grazed my knees.

My father did make me give it back thus grounded for a week without any pocket money. My parent were so impressed that I had learnt this myself they gave me their car keys....no actually the last bit isn't true, I stole them :D

The moral of my story theft set aside is you can have a lot of fun learning by trial and error yourself then when the manual comes out on release you can figure out what you have done wrong and perhaps what you did right that the manual didn't mention. :p

Tutorials eh? Back in my day we never had tutorials. We sat on broken glass and had to play games blindfolded.

Kids these days eh? ;) :p

They have it easy. I learned to play the original Elite on computer i made myself from refrigerator parts, while a Rottweiler chew my leg.
