Prebuild coasters could be a lot better

Hello,

I love the new stream and i'm watching right now. So many amazing new features and rides. One thing that worries me though is the quality of the Prebuild coasters. They are some things wrong with it. For example stuff like:

- Wrong or no banking
- Lift hill already stops before you reach the highest point
- A bit too sharp turns which would make the cars break or make your feet touch the cart in front
- Missing brakes etc which makes the cart going way too fast in the station
- Missing supports which makes it look like the track is hovering in the sky
- Not enough clearence between the cars and the supports/track

I know this is still alpha etc but I hope that we will get realistic prebuilds. Unlike RCTW where you have lots of euthenasia coasters.

Dont get me wrong alot of prebuilds look great but it's these little things that really ruin the realism imho. And it would be easy to fix

THanks for reading :D

Once the steam workshop for PC is live you will have hundreds of awesome prebuild coasters within days, so don't worry about it.

I also wouldn't worry. They probably chucked them in pretty quick and are tweaking them until, well official release I would think.

And yes soon enough there will be hundreds of designs that people save because of the steam share feature.

Don't get worried about that.

Regards,

Adam

yeah true, but the coasters that come with the game should be pretty much perfect still

the DEVs have a lot more other things to be working on, they dont have a lot of "expert" designers they just make the tools that allow us to design stuff and they try to throw in a few examples for beginners... as an experienced player I never use "prebuilt" coasters anyway... but the buildings are what I want to share in blueprints [up]

fair enough

Not to mention, and this isn't why I think the pre-builts are the way they are in the livestream, but once the game is released I could see them having scenarios where you have to figure out why a park isn't making as much money as it could. And part of that would be to investigate the coasters and improve them so the guests enjoy them more.

When alpha 3 hits, we are going to go around all the pre-built coasters and test/scrutinize them properly. The feedback we provide is going to inform those designs. The community has to do this with a positive attitude too.

From a simulation standpoint, a management standpoint and the NPE (new player experience) standpoint, IT IS IMPERATIVE that the game ships with a good variety of pre-built coasters with different costs, tech levels and scenario functionalities taken into account. It is very important to get this right and we should do our best to help Frontier with this.

At the same time, the online features will give Frontier the ability to make contests for pre-built coasters and maybe the winner gets to have his in the base game as an asset. There are a lot of ways that the developer can "exploit" the community in that aspect (for example, scenario design for the campaign), and I really want them to.

Oh my god. I'm getting scared of steam workshop because all the trash that people upload. You getting overwhelmed even if you can rate the good ones. They will go under :)

Will be important to rate up on the good coasters, hopefully they add multiple filters for the workshop.

As long as the bad ones don't get good ratings there should not be that problem, but different people have different ideas what is good or bad.

Maybe Frontier can hire people good at real life coaster physics (essentially coaster geeks) to design the prebuilt ones (or at least go through them).

But it also worries me, maybe the stats will be too forgiving. I want it to be as "unforgiving" as in RCT1+2. High lateral G should be painful and pull down the excitement value considerably, for example.

I'm scared that people are going to re-upload other men's builds and say it's built by them. that would be horrible if it would happen all the time.
