I think flight assist should deactivate, and auto boost activate as you go thru the dock.

The laugh I got out of that was worth a +1I think flight assist should deactivate, and auto boost activate as you go thru the dock.

I understand the posters fustration when in the moment,
But as posted above, there must be a limit to how much you want to be
cushioned (hold by the hand). If you make a mistake it's ok IMO that it
have a cost, that way you will probably learn somthing.
There are stuff i do and do not do ingame as i gradually learn whats dangerous
and whats reasonable safe.
As said above PLEASE don't dumb the game down.
I thought everyone would run through a few pre-flight checks on take off & landing.
1. Fuel topped up prior to requesting launch.
2. Doors to manual (Mrs. Middleton will do this for you if you ask nicely).
3. Tray tables and seat backs upright.
4. Key bindings not capable of making you look silly.
5. Cerebrum present in cranium before igniting engines.
Perhaps car manufacturers should limit the accelerator pedal for when cars pull into a garage? I mean, one could accidentally press it to the floor and go 'splat' all over the back wall, next to the washer and dryer...
One word... well actually two... "Key Bindings" gotta memorize them.
It was just a routine flight in my Hauler. The last delivery to earn the credits which would finally enable me to purchase a Viper. I lifted off from the pad, retracted the landing gear and then....... oh what's that engine boosting noise, oh it's me, oh ffffffffff.. splat!
Yes I had unfortunately accidentally brushed the key that boosts the engines and before I could unleash a wailing 'Noooooooooooo' of despair I had redecorated the station interior in an interesting shade of guts. So thanks to the rather expensive cargo I was carrying I am now back to my humble Sidewinder beginnings!
So yes please do something about this so no other poor souls have to suffer so harshly for a moment of sheer misfortune/ stupidity!
So we should do away with flight and rotational assist then. Because that dumbs the game down more than the game recognising a situation where it is unlikely the player meant to press a key.
What actions have you taken to ensure this doesn't happen to you again?
Well I changed the key binding to be as far away from anything else as possible. Problem is I do need it so it is bound to a button on my joystick which is next to the throttle increase. So the potential for a lapse of concentration and another disaster is still there!

Sorry, but did you read the replies on your own thread ? :S
When you deploy your landing gear the over ride kicks in, if you have set it. So bind it that way and you will never boost when your gear is out !

Whenever I pull in to a petrol station, the turbo on the car isn't magically disabled. Learn to pilot properly and you won't end up in a fiery mess.
