Want to say something about water bodies.

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum, but I specially made this account to ask/say something about the water bodies.
I played RCT 2 and RCT3 platinum like... a lot... and Planet Coaster is in my opinion the most awesome successor I could ever imagined.
But the only thing that keeps bothering me after +60 hours of gameplay are the water bodies.

In RCT 3 water was physically there. Peeps would drown under water, in PC (planet coaster) your can build under water level?
The biggest proplem is with coasters and rides. Why can't we build the rides and coasters in the water?
RCT3 let you mix coasters and water by boats surfing on water level. Eg, when you build a log coaster, your tracks needed to be build in water bodies (water you creates by landscaping)
In PC it does only work by building tracks above (and other rides to...) water level.
It's a huge 'immersion' killer and somewhat a more important tool of the RCT games.

Sorry if someone already made a post for this. I just wanted to point this out.
Thanks!

You probably haven't played in a long time. What you're requesting has been added in a previous update: You can build in and under water.

Would be nice if you also explained how: Open your Park in question, then open the Settings menu. Then Navigate to "Game" then look what you can disable or enable. And you will discover that you can build into water ;)

With RCT3 vanilla the water was not fully functioning, they added more water features into RCT3 with the Soaked water park expansion.

Water features that could be added to PC include:
- Boats, lots of boats like in RCT, personal 2 seater boats, and big huge 30 passenger transport ships!
- Dynamic waterfalls
- An underwater view that distorts the camera with a slightly wavy effect and rays of light (with option to disable) maybe there could be bubbles or drops of water when "splashing" the camera through the water (similar to RCT3)
- In RCT3 moving the cursor across the surface of water gave a small ripple effect (like a skipping stone) it was only noticable when zoomed in real close and I always thought it was a nice little touch :)
- Seaweed that moves a bit, random fish or other water life (not animatronic based, but like the way birds show up randomly)
- Transparent tubing for rides and paths to go through water like an aquarium or sea-ride, giving guests a submersive view of the surrounding water and any scenery you might have under the water
- A track based river tool with various textures to choose different styles of flowing water, similar to the river rapids, but as a scenery piece instead of a ride
- Pools, More scenery, pools stuff, lots and lots of animatronics,
- Life guards and changing rooms for guests to enjoy the pools or lake or beach

Reasons why this is not currently possible:
- It would probably require a significant increase in CPU performance
- Takes times to develop
- Blueprints might be a problem when saving a pool complex or water based boat ride
- Hopefully we get some improvements soon

Off-topic:
I would love to see an improved "nature" aspect. I am not really a fan of the seagulls/pigeons in PC. I realize its a lot of work and requires heavy toll on CPU but it sucks watching a pigeon fly into a wall and go through a building. I miss the flocks of ducks like in RCT with the feathers, but I thought maybe for PC there could be more. It might be interesting if there were "good critters" and "bad critters" like rats could show up if there is litter, or we could have designated feeding ponds that attracts ducks (just as an example, but I know it probably wont happen) [praise]

Would be nice to have Water Physics fullstop, with perhaps an enable/disable option on certain aspects, dependent on one's PC Spec.

Something like this would be just lovely :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEX13W-IuLA

Excuse my ignorance, would Frontier just not licence the above as opposed to designing their own, bit like the 'Universal' DLC licensing.

I do hope that Frontier is working on better water for PC for sometime in the future. RCT3 currenty has better water.
