Should I buy now or wait?

I really want this game, but am unsure if I should buy now and get early access or wait until full release. Is there enough content right now in early access to make it worth the $75?

How creative are you? If you not to creative then I would wait a bit or even wait until the full release. If you are like me and are creative then it is worth the money expecially with Alpha 2 coming out shortly which will give you more things to play with.

Buy, it's only $30 and I can see the price rising closer to release.

Early access is up to you though..I chose to not purchase it and just watch youtube videos every day about it.

Maybe use that extra $45 on parketict....then you have two great theme park games

I'm a life long RCT fan so I love the genre and enjoyed making themed rides in RCT3. The amount of rides and coasters currently in the game is my main concern, but if Alpha 2 drops soon then that should give me some more rides to place in my park. Thanks for the quick replies.

This. Im gonna grab early acces real soon because even without that many scenery you can still create a lot of awesomeness :)

I just pre-ordered the $30 version, but might upgrade to early access if the waiting drives me mad.

That's why I got the Alpha. Not good at waiting for Christmas. But if you are mainly into the Management and Scenario you need to wait. Alpha is pretty all about sandbox.

Ah you bought. But for people unsure, I say to buy the €30 now as it will be increased later. Then if you want to have the early access then you can buy upgrade. problem solved! ;) (I did so..)

I ended up buying the alpha access. I really like it so far. The building tools are amazing.

I was unsure about buying it myself. But I'm glad I did because i've been able to learn to use all of the building and scenery tools, which are easy to use - but hard to master. Now when the game get's more features and content I will be able to jump in and start making cool stuff quickly because now I know how to use the tools.

While I love following the development of PC and seeing it evolve and playing every step of the way, there is something to be said for playing a complete game. I'm glad I spent the money on Early Access, but I kind of wish I could play the full game without referencing back to Alpha 1 in my head.

I'd suggest get it now! It's worth the investment.

Lots of people seem to have the early bird Alpha access. It cost me NZ$103 which is roughly what 49 British Pounds is.
Alpha 2 which will introduce a lot more stuff is due out 24 May, but I take that as UK time, and they're not going to release it at 9 am UK time. It would probably be some time during working hours on that day for the UK.

The game is a lot of fun. Just make sure your PC meets the system requirements. I'd suggest 16GB RAM, a quad core i5 or i7 processor with a clock speed of above 3.0Ghz, and a GTX 970 or AMD R9 390, if you want to play it on 1920x1080 HIGH settings smoothly.

Otherwise you could save money and "wait....." till the full game comes out later....... this year. I know I couldn't do this and hear and watch on YouTube about others having a wooo while they enjoy this game. This game IS fun. And it surprisingly isn't really buggy.

It is your personal preference. If you don't mind using the software as is then go right ahead and order the alpha build but if you like to experience the complete product then you should wait.

As for me a love trying something before the game comes out and see what changes are made during the game design process. I went to school to be a computer network administrator so I love working on computers. I also learned the process of game design which if you have some general knowledge of it then you know that features are subject to change. It may work the way you like it but then the developers change something to their liking. Lastly you can give your feedback on the game as it goes on. Say you didn't like a feature of thought it was to hard to work with you can tell them to change it and make it to a point what you feel comfortable with.

I hope this made it easier to make your decision on weather you want to get the alpha build or wait till the full version when it come out

I think it's worth it to get now. At the very least you'll be able to practice building stuff for full release. Get your creative juices flowing.

if you guys read a few posts down, you'll see him go through the whole transformation of "Should I get this?" "OK, maybe I'll just pre-order." "Nope, I caved." [tongue]
