Any news on what they're gonna improve on the coasters?

Hello

I havent followed Planet Coaster in a while.

I was wondering is there any news regarding how they are gonna improve the coasters in the update 3?

thanks

smoother inversions, preset pieces, blueprints, more variety and customization options, just to name a few

I thought of various ways the coaster builder could work, to smooth things without it going crazy, maybe different boxes that we can tick that lock banking on a selected piece, or lock "supports" on a certain piece so it just edits the banking to smooth and not the location of selected piece (feel free to steal frontier ;0)

I mean, with twists and stuff, locking a piece of track thats at 180 degrees upside down, and then smoothing around that would kind of work nicely.
(this would work nicely with height too)

However, the ability to crash is almost required in order to make realistic roller coasters, such as Vekoma's boomerangs and other such launched coasters.

I agree. Crashes are not there for amusement and 'living the inner psycho', but for the sole purpose of creating a realistic simulation.
Would be the same as if one would make a racing-sim and remove crashes.
Sure: in reality nobody wants people to die, but it happens in parks, as it happens on a race-track.

But if you take (say) the F1 games, or the Codemasters rally games, you crash but never die. There's a line to be drawn between realism and what's acceptable for a particular type of game. A death or serious injury in a theme park is a big, but extremely rare event. It has consequences. In my opinion, you can simulate those consequences without simulating the horror of the act itself.

I dont want derailments. But would like to see trains valley, stop on lift hills ect of they are not maintained.
I also hope we get multi stations, multi trains, transfer tracks and maintenance/storage huts.
Multi trains will help with throughput. And multi stations will help with creating single track dueling coasters like the Grand national at Blackpool.

i hope we can have multiple launch spots on a single coaster, the cheetah hunt coaster at busch garden's florida have 4 on one coaster.

Improve what exactly about coasters? Some specifics would be nice on what you're eyeing. [yesnod]

Smoother pre fab pieces, the wing coaster pre fab loops ect need a complete rework as the train collides with the track, the smoothy smooth tool needs a lot of work as it can often twist the track or make it go completely insane, height and length indication on the track rather than the menu would be nice.

ill add to that list, floating lift hill catwalks on the inverted coasters, as well as colliding supports, we would like to see some boosters on some of the coasters as well as multiple trains, synchronizing with other coasters, and maybe a bit more physics movement for the people riding.
