What happened to these guys?

I am disappointed with the final result. The A-Capella version of "The Light In Us Then" is a nice touch, but to met it gets old really soon and I found it more of a gimmick.

  • So, their colors are attached to that of the unnecessary stage behind them. SInce the Flexicolor only supports four colors slots, details are reusing the same color and their was no slot left for skin colors.
  • The lady-with-mustache from the concept art apparently didn't make the cut, and everybody's quartet will now look exactly the same with the black guy at the same position.
  • There are some interesting details in the stage that should have been separate building pieces. But of course they aren't.
I found it rather sad to see how they became the mascot of everything that is wrong with the creative hand-holding in this game lately :(

Another "technically it's there but in the most basic and irritating form" implementation. Why no different models for band members? Why not separate pieces for the beautiful stage?

Why are you cutting corners, Frontier? [ugh]

I don't find it irritating. It is exactly as I expected it to be, just like the pirate band and the duo carol singers.

I don't think Frontier cut any corners.

My opinion as a paying and playing customer througout:

I agree -- this didn't have to be a single limited-use piece. The singers could've been individual animatronics, which would allow for better flexicolor options. The stage could easily be several pieces, each more useful. We're paying money for this, why are we being shorted on the value we're paying for? Anything like "that's the way they've always done it" isn't a good reason -- there's been significant concrit on this already, why did they do this again?

This is fixable, if Frontier will do it. There's indications that they've willing (the western Wagon Stand, which also has Wagon Stand Empty, Wagon Stand Bar, and Wagon Stand Piano {thanks, art-devs!}, but still doesn't have a piano-playing or bar-tending animatronic actor {so close, and yet so far} last I saw).

This may be the most popular DLC (it's my current fave), and there are already posts calling for a Vintage Pack 2. Reluctant as I am to reward Frontier for not getting it right the first time, I'm willing to buy -- there's a bunch of stuff I want expanding this pack, including the above.

But you DID see the concept art I suppose. They showed different musicians. Now they're all the same guy. If re-using the same model isn't cutting corners I don't know what is.

Hmmm yes i understand your frustration why they are not seperate "Animatronics". I can understand though why they are not roaming Characters. I think if Frontier sees your wish to seperate the Guys from the Stage, they might do it. Like they did with the Monte Leone Ride. So don't be too down about this :)

But i think i have a solution for them to be roaming Characters: Put them on a four Person Tandem and let them Ride around the Park, and stop every once in a while to sing their song :D

"The Light within us" is tradition now. All of the Bands play that Song. All of the ingame Music is a Version of that Song, so why would that be different all of a sudden?
