Might I Suggest A New Coaster?

This year, at IAAPA, Dynamic Attractions announced their new Coaster technology, which is a dark ride/coaster hybrid, and they call it their "Dual Power Coaster." This revolutionary new design is able to simulate drifting, jumping, spinouts, jumps, and even go upside down. The coaster track is placed under a road façade, which keeps it from view. NOTE: while this does seem similar to Disney's slot-car system used on Test Track and Radiator Springs Racers, it is not anything like it (although, can we get a slot-car system based dark ride? I kind of want to build something like Test Track).

Yes you can, sounds cool the "Dual Power Coaster", and a slot-car system based dark ride (Like Test Track and Radiator Spring Racers) is one of my top suggestions atm.

EDIT: I found a trailer of the Dual Power Coaster. Looks like fun.

Halfway down page 1 of this board [wink]

But honestly I won't miss a chance to +1 this one because it's pretty much everything I want in a ride.

I'm not surprised! I did not know of the existence of that post, but it makes sense, Dynamic Attraction's Dual Power Coaster kind of stole the spotlight for me at IAAPA. Not much else as interesting as that was revealed. The Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is awesome, but that tech, while new, isn't anything "revolutionary." It's essentially a modified spinning coaster, with all those seated facing the same direction, and the spin is controlled to focus on certain scenes, but it is still, at its core, a type of spinning coaster. While the same can be said for this, I find this a lot more interesting, especially because we've already seen the ride car at the Vekoma facility, and, ridiculously enough, Disney has a different patent for a flying coaster design (originally designed for the unbuilt Fire Mountain attraction, I think), which I would personally find more interesting. We never have seen anything like this before, and it's something I think me, and many others in the Planet Coaster community, would like to fool around with.
