Roller Coasters Treasure Guardian - My weekend side project

Hi everyone.

GdnK1Of.jpg[

Here's my project inspired by Bo wanting us to use the Treasure Chest piece for this week's Workshop Wonderland.

It started out as the dragon cave with the unfortunate skeleton (robbing swine) which you can download as a separate piece, but then quickly got a little out of hand [wink] It took me nearly the whole weekend. It's all one single blueprint, fully themed and ready to go. All you have to do when laying the paths is make the queue 2m wide and the exit path 4m wide. Start from the station and make your way to the ground following the scenery guides I put in. Simples. There's room for the carousel in the building on the right too.

It's a family thrill coaster to traumatise the little 'uns.

All I can just say is... Wow. Just, wow. Now that's fantastic and epic. The "Photobombed by the Ride Operator" picture did make me laugh as well.

Lovin' the curved chain lift around the tower! Excellent concept Nemmie [happy]

*I am gonna try that when I get home today.

Fantastic creation! I really like the coaster, the castle, and also the carousel that you've built next to it.

Nice pictures! (especially the one with the staff member looking into the camera) [wink]

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

And Stuk, I recommend a bit of trial and error if you're gonna try the lift hill. I built the tower first and then experimented to get the right radius of the lift hill. I even dragged the tower out of the way once I'd sussed it till I'd built the lift-hill. I then moved it back into the middle with the advanced move tool. It gave me a more precise placement.

OrganicKobze, I'd not thought about doing a video till you asked. I forget that everyone isn't playing PC yet so can't just get the blueprint from the Workshop. Watch this space.[wink]

And as for that ride-op.....Cheeky mare!!!! [haha]

Take care everyone [heart]

The photobomb [haha][haha][haha]

I know. I giggled when it happened so I knew I had to put the picture in.

As requested by OrganicKobze, here's the video with POV. Enjoy [big grin]

Really awesome dude! I hadn't thought about just grabbing it from the workshop... I appreciate the video though dude. Your attention to detail is incredible! Perfect pace and banking as well, especially for a kiddies coaster. I'll definitely be saving this blueprint, kudos to you sir!

It's back. I spent yesterday repairing and improving this. With Beta and full release, the hitboxes were made bigger so because of the "obstructed" message, I couldn't place the blueprint.

After some tinkering, I found it's just the Utility pieces like the Lifthill, Brakes and Drivewheels etc that have a bigger hitbox, but not the normal track.

So I made some adjustments, smoothed a couple of areas and gave the track a more vibrant green. I've also added over 200 extra bits of scenery now that the blueprint limit is higher.

So here it is, newer and shinier back on the Workshop and with a new video.
