? next update

It's only been 3 weeks since Alpha 2 and the time between the first and second alphas was 9 weeks, so I'm anticipating the next update will come sometime in late July to early August. So we probably will start to get more updates in July. I am preparing myself for 3-4 more weeks of silence from the devs while they continue to take in our feedback and work on improvements and the next stages including blueprints and whatever else they are working on now. At that time I would expect an announcement of some more live streams and Q&As leading up to the Alpha 3 release.

They have to give Silvarret adequate time to work out all the possible ways in which each and every piece of scenery can be used :p

np thank you anyway :)

No problem ;)

Officially we know nothing, but i expect some kind of announcement next week or the week after that.

(Based on the pattern we had after Alpha 1 ... first about a month / 5 weeks of total silence and then 3/4 weeks packed with livestreams and Q&A's followed by the release of the next Alpha. If we have the same pattern this time the information train could begin running somewhere next week or the week after that)

I'm wondering what we will get in the next update (yes I know, blueprints and community functionality or what was it). But Alpha 2 had 2 ''big things'' in it, the coaster and terrain editor, which take a lot of of time to develop.

I don't think blueprints are too hard to make, so the devs should have more time to include a new theme, new rides, maybe the management aspect etc. (yeye I know, different teams work on different parts of the game). But one can dream :p

Mid to late August for alpha 3 is my guess. Expect the devs to become more active with the community and start teasing/previewing/doing live streams + Q&As from mid July.

Then probably quite a while before beta towards the end of year (I think the launch will miss Q4 2016, but that's not the end of the world). Hopefully more regular alpha content updates once most of the game mechanics/simulation aspects are in place and working together.

Be patient, making things work properly takes time!

I don't think there's any reason to say the launch is going to miss Q4. There's been no indication so far that they are behind schedule. I expect alpha 3 will be a little earlier than that- late July possibly, since that would follow the pattern of 8 weeks we had from alpha 1 to alpha 2.

I'm just wondering about the management/simulation aspect of the game as we've barely heard anything about it at all (I know we've had a few glimpses like them adding currency and guest thoughts, but not much really).

That's the area of the game that will frustrate and annoy casual players the most if not implemented in a fun but challenging and balanced way without loads of bugs.

Plus there is a whole load of content to create still and things like wooden coasters and water they have said are a major challenge to get right.

Patience, I just found a new bug last night. You might remove a bug but that may cause another bug, ect. Next update hopefully will have water implemented. This is a big add and possible some new economics in as well as everyone noticed that the first start was added in the last build where you had money.

Definitely need to add a lot more flat rides. Should have included a generic log flume ride in the last update. A waltzer would be very nice to have too. It is called a tilt-a-whirl in the US. Maybe include a loop-o-plane, spider, dodgems. Just some ideas.
