Track Rides Daytona USA: Three Seven Speedway Recreation

Hey guys!
This is my first creation that I want to show on the forums. After searching online to see if anyone has recreated some of the track from Daytona USA by SEGA, I was surprised to see that no one has attempted to recreate any of the track at all! Because of this, I decided to recreate Three Seven Speedway from Daytona USA with a Planet Coaster twist as a little side project yesterday. Hopefully, you guys can re-experience the nostalgia from this racetrack.

I played the original Daytona game a lot. There was a vintage arcade near my house and he always had that set up. Now it's gone.

Is the song in the promo video the original title song from the game? It sounded a lot like it. Plus, you know it's an 80's song since it just kept saying the same thing endlessly.

This is a really good recreation! I love it!

It's a shame that the arcade had to close down. But yes, the music used in the promo video is the original theme from the arcade version of the game. I'm also glad that you like this recreation aswell!

Anyways, I'm planning on recreating all the tracks from this game. As of now, I'm currently working on Dinosaur Canyon.

I loved Dino Canyon!

The only problem I have with this current recreation is that the guests take that final turn too easily. That turn was always impossible for me to get through without crashing into it.

That's odd, usually atleast 4 guest spin out on that turn. Also, if you use the go kart cheat, that turn is pretty difficult to pull of without spinning out.

So I'm just wondering, it's obvious you put a pit lane on the track. Do any of the racers use it?

The pit lane isn't connected to the actual track. With the current way the go karts work in this game, it's not possible to have spilt tracks that guest can use.

When I went to listen to the full "Let's Go Away" song, it took me a while to realize that they weren't saying "Dayonda" but they were saying "Daytona". [big grin]
