Tacit Admission Alert!! Mod Support INCOMING!!

Or was pressured into it.The OP of that thread is clearly in cahoots with the dev's to cover something up [wacky] . . .
Mods were an important feature to him according to his activity in the topic, and then, for no reason whatsoever (according to Brett C), they weren't? I'm on the autism spectrum and even to me that seems fishy.. . . Ok what is the thing that makes it so obvious then?
Sounds likely. My primary interest in modding/UGC support is in getting what would make the game more fun for me (which hopefully would also attract more paying newbies), since waiting for the devs to provide them has been . . . I think I'll go with “frustrating”. [uhh]I don't expect Frontier to actively "support" modding/asset importation until they are done supporting the game with DLC. Then, I hope they offer a slick mod/asset "app" for purchase . . .
Or it was simply a choice Gregor made on his own without any influence from Frontier.Or was pressured into it.
Indeed. Very well said, Bitter Jeweler.Very well said, Bitter Jeweler!
I've been saying the exact same thing on many of these UGC threads. Why on Earth would Frontier shoot the cash cow?

Yep, good point. So, in order to get Frontier mod/UGC support, we need a boycott of upcoming DLCs, and a halt to anybody buying the old ones, and discouraging newbies from buying the game itself -- doesn't have to be absolute, but enough of a hit to convince Frontier that their “cash cow” customer base has dried up. Is that what we want? [weird]
Or, instead of manipulating each other to get what we want, Frontier and its customers can behave like rational human beings -- if they can't provide content and gameplay options sufficient and fast enough for the customers, then they should sell us tools that allow the customers to do so for ourselves and each other. Right? Nah, of course not -- that makes way too much sense!

Says the guy who mysteriously stopped for no reason whatsoever, especially not anything to do with Frontier, of course not, how could anybody think such a thing . . . [rolleyes]How about instead of people demanding mod support, they behave like rational human beings and attempt it themselves? Nobody is stopping you!
Yep, excellent idea! So why is any attempt at cooperative effort (lets do it WITH Frontier instead of AGAINST them!) being mischaracterized as "demanding"?. . . Instead of demanding others to do it, do it yourself of find someone else to do it for you it you want it so badly.

Happy to help! [up]I love being the centre of a conspiracy theory [heart]
I'd also like to kindly ask that people stop discussing me here, and take what I say at face value. Thanks [tongue]
