Why does the Ghost Train not allow you to change number of cars?

I just bought the spooky dlc today, and I went to build the ghost train (I believe its called the hoax) and I noticed the cars go around in 3's and there is no option to change it so the cars go on their own [blah] So when the first car activates a animated door, it doesn't stay open long enough for all 3 cars to get through. The same goes for other triggered objects.

I'm not sure if I should report this as a bug or not as it might be intended [uhh] Anyone know?

The 3 car thing is intended, though a bit confusing as it's the only one that does so.

I thought you can now adjust trigger times so doors could stay open longer with the new update?

It's by design.

It's to allow groups of more than two to ride.
Peep groups can't split up. So you'll notice the spinning coasters that only seat four won't have groups of five or six in line. You'll also notice sometimes you get a car with a single rider. Because the next group in line is a group of four.

So if this ride had "single" cars, it would only be available to singles and couples.

Ah that makes sense, thanks.

I didn't have a proper look, so you might be able to. That would be great if you can!

This was in the patch notes for 1.4:

Some updates to triggers will now allow you to toggle objects for a certain time and at certain intervals (e.g. to create strobe lights).

Not sure if the doors can be done too.
