Tempted by the Alpha

Hello! I am new here so please be gentle! I am very tempted to purchase the alpha but had a few questions and wondered if anyone could help me...

Firstly, I understand you can build your own food stalls, which ones are available at the moment? I'm confused by how it works - do you pick a type of shop then build your own scenery, walls etc around it?

Also, are there any staff yet or is that to be added with a future update?

Currently, there are 4 "facilities" objects: food, drink, hats, toilets. There are lots of building pieces to choose from, like walls, roofs and decorations. Just from this modest few things, you can create amazing and diverse structures. To build coasters, you have to type in an unlock code, since the Devs don't have that feature done to their liking.

I've never played any of the theme park game, but am having lots of fun building stuff and watching the people walk around and ride on the rides.

There's a post somewhere from the Devs that describes what's in the alpha and what their plans are along with a rough timeline.

Thank you for that, that was really helpful and makes more sense to me now! Can you change the types of drink and food etc?

Right now, no. Park management is to be part of Alpha 3, but we are in Alpha 1 at the moment. While there is a lot to enjoy in game already, I believe somebody mentioned that only 10% of content is in the current Alpha.

I think you will find this to be the most helpful supportive community you have ever seen. I highly recommend "nerdcubed plays planet coaster" video on youtube (warning strong language) He fell in love with the game and shows a lot of what the game is capable of even in this early alpha build.

I have played well over 100 hours with what is in there so far and I discover something new almost every day. Gorgeous game to say the least.
