WATER EXPANSION PACK - is Frontier secretly already working on it?

They are working on something for the fall but what it is is still secret. They won't say what it is until October 7.

i think we'll get some halloween/spooky stuff in october and thats it... no more waterrides.. the devs wont give us the two rides we have in cause of the bad waterphysics. so i think, we dont get any more waterride...

There hasn't been any sort of 'update' for a week now, on the 'internal' build I mean, can we read anything into that [big grin]

Team A is secretly working on restaurant/bigger shops elements like cash counters, tables&chairs, picknick tables, interiors etc. Besides that they are busy with the new fence tool and 3 new big themes. Team B is indeed working on water expansion pack and the brand new technology for dark rides to make it dark and new rides like the omnimovers and slow big boat rides. Team C started to work on hotel expansion, parking and Zoo expansion, but this will come out next year.

Is it What you want (and a lot of people) or a true information?

I'd like to see SO many things.

Also, with Sokaed in RCT3, there came tons of rides, new systems, and soo much more

Yeah don't take it too seriously. That's what I hope. If I really knew I would be chased by Bo right now for braking some kind of NDA agreement.
Certain is that the game has a nice future ahead and that they want to continue supporting this game for a lot of time (which is actually said by Frontier on several occasions).

I see a lot of people saying things like "I'd rather see this and that, but really, why would we have to choose? They can keep updating the game, wether it be free or paus updates. I really don't see how you can be against the idea of an expansion as it only brings more content.

Also, planet coaster is already An entirely different game then RCT3 was. It has improved in a ton of ways (apart from the management I'll admit 🙃) so why wouldn't you want to see their new fresh take on other old concepts?
I'd love you be anale to build a water park and going back to RCT3 is simply not An option to me as it now just feels clumsy after playing so much PC. (Even though I have hundreds/thousands of hours on that game and a boatload of custom scenery)

I feel like saying "I don't want extra content" is very counterproductive, but that's just my opinion of course.

People want new content, but a Soaked like expansion has already been done before in RCT3. PC has the chance to do something different.

Because the developers will prioritize what is probably the most wanted, and to waste development time on a water park expansion while there's so many fundamental things missing that could be worked on would feel like a huge let down. So people do have to choose, get the things that truly need to be added now while the frivolous and unwanted stuff, such as a water park expansion, can come much further down the line.

Why does this thread exist? It's a rumor thread... "Are they already working on..."

But...
They need to add more basic rides, which can be found in most theme parks, first.

I don't understand this point of view. RCT3 was a theme park game as the base game, so is Planet Coaster. Are they the same because it has already been done before? No.

I understand that there's a lot that still needs fixing before they move on to bigger DLC's, but if they do want to add them within the next two years they already have to start planning now in my eyes.

I see big things for the future and have faith in frontier that they're able to fix and add some more of the basics whilst already working on the new expansions to come.
Wether it's a waterpark DLC or something comepletely new, I trust they will do it in such a way that it's different than anything we've had before.

PC does some things better than RCT3, some things worse. Looking at a waterpark expansion, I can't really seem to think of anything that would make a PC version improve on the RCT3 version, except maybe a spline based water slide tool, but that would be just a slight improvement.

I am not talking about bug fixing. For me, I would find it interesting to see what else Frontier can come up with other than copying RCT 3.

I want an water park expansion pack, but not in the near future. Water physics needs to be improved first.
Some of you don't want it, but you probably want resorts instead.
Some may see PC more like Six Flags, than Disney, because they never been there, and there is nothing wrong about that.
If you don't like an expansion pack or even paid dlc, then don't buy it, but there's nothing wrong if someone else likes it.

Here is how I look at this subject. Considering that most theme parks these days have water parks. I think it would be a great addition to have a water park expansion of some sort. However, the game needs more flat rides to be added. That is just my opinion.

i dont know a single one! In Europe we have Waterparks. We have Themeparks.. But no Themeparks with Waterparks.. For the european People here, it is a completely different thing.. And Frontier is also in europe..

Not true.

Walibi has combined theme parks and water parks (sort of) Aqualibi.

Some dutch parks have small waterparks integrated in their theme parks (Hellendoorn).

But in my opinion a waterpark and themepark are 2 totally different things.

In RCT3 I never really felt the pools belonged in the game, as was the same with the Wild upgrade.
The rides however where perfect.
