Final price of the game

Now, we know the final price of the game.

For those who have not pre-ordered yet, it's the right time ! [happy][up]

I think I want to see what happens later on down the line, it'd be nice to pre-order but, if they do eventually jump to steam, it'd be nice to have it linked to a steam account.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but they said everyone who pre-orders now will be able to get it on Steam when it is available.

Yep, still no confirmation on steam but "We aren’t able to confirm any details regarding Steam just yet but one thing is for sure if we launch on Steam we will make sure that everyone that has purchased on our store will have access to a steam code, should they wish to add it to their library. "

£29.99? Wow. That's so cheap. I expected at least another £10 on top of that. When most top games cost between 40 and 60 quid and mostly don't have the scope and replayability of P.C, it's a ridiculously small charge for this sort of quality.

Definitely a lot of bang for your buck.

What happens after release? What's the likelyhood of withholding certain 'rides' 'themes' 'enhancements' or whatever, to release as 'packs', like the Sims franchise.

I received an email newsletter from Frontier and here is what was in it concerning the price of the game (not Alpha Early Bird edition, but just regular game):

Pre-Order Price

We’ve had a number of people asking about the final release price for Planet Coaster.

Today we can confirm that the final release price for Planet Coaster will be £29.99, $49.99 (USD) and €39.99. However, our very special exclusive pre-order price of £19.99, $29.99 and €26.99 is still available

You mean ? Like the first picture in this topic ? What a strange coincidence right ? [rolleyes]

I paid the early bird price and the game is worth it.. I pre ordered rctw on steam and paid way to much for it . it has been a real disappointment

A new PS4 game is 60. A added content is almost 75-100. So let's do some math early access 75 and I can play the whole time looks like a no brainier. That's why I jumped in at release date.

It's great that you can buy the whole game right now for just £19.99. BUT it seems absolutely barbaric that you'd have to pay that another 1.5 times just to get early access to it now. Early access should never cost more than the game itself. Crazy.

Thing is, I'd buy the game today, it's incredible. BUT when I go to that store page and see that price, I can't bring myself to do it.

Yeah we already said that in another topic.

They reinvented the early access, which were always cheaper than the final product. Here you need to pay more to have less, and under development, only because "you can try it several months before the release" ! Wait ? It was already what an early access is [haha]

But anyway, we need to deal with it, and it's not like the game is bad, it's even the opposite ... and that's Frontier, and not a small indie studio in his garage.

Also, if the early access price is too expensive compared to market prices (making Planet Coaster one of the most expensive early access in the history of video games, 200% more than the average price of an early access [woah]), it's the opposite for the final product official price, which is cheaper than the market price (approx 20% less than the average price for a PC Game [up]), and it's even much cheaper now, with the limite offer (almost 50% less than the average price for a PC game).

So ... good news for those who only pre-ordered the game now because they officially got a good deal ! [yesnod]
And for the others ? Well, I guess that being a fan has a cost ...

When I got it last month I think, Frontier charged me 49 British Pounds for pre-ordering the game and gaining access to the Early Bird Alpha version of the game. I live in NZ and 49 pounds is roughly NZ$104. Yes NZ's currency is pretty weak compared with UK currency. It's even weaker than Australian/US $.
Who wants to wait......... wait................. wait................ while others are having fun and a wooo with the game right here with the Alpha version of Planet Coaster. The full game is expected to release later this year.
Sorry, but some of us can't wait that long XD.

I think the price Frontier charges for all of us, is very fair. This game is going to be rich with content. And in New Zealand, even some Xbox 360 and Xbox One game titles can be more expensive.
If you really love something, you'd get it. And feel happy you can enjoy it now, rather than enjoy it later and save only a few dollars. Lots of people have shared gameplay of this fun game on YouTube. I found out about this game off one of the Youtuber's I like. And thought, I just have to get this game now. Screw waiting till the end of this year when they get the full version of the game out, just to save a few dollars.
